I know it's not a secret Flippa is full of scammers, but FFS, how hard is it to check the domain registration date? Here's a scam I just revealed, hopefully someone doesn't lose his money:

https://flippa.com/5711741-youtube-cloning-templates-making-2-683-mo

Claims website is 1 year old, whois shows it's 2 weeks: http://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=videothemes.org

The so called themes have duplicated description from real themes on Themeforest. It has plenty of bids already, flippa approved it... how can everyone be so damn stupid?
Maybe I am too poor and consider that before I spend thousands of $ on a website, I should check if it's real or not...

i have a real site on there that doesn't get half as much attention :/

I bought 11 domains from Flippa but never a whole website.

80% of them are just a scam.

You can find great domains for under 200$ there.

Agreed with @lord1027. BUYERS BE AWARE, listing should be reported to Flippa ASAP

- This website's robots.txt is blocking Wayback Machine, https://web.archive.org/web/videothemes.org
- No data whatsoever from SEMrush

Good job lord1027, you may have saved folks their precious money.

People who are going to spend that kind of money on a domain are stupid if they don't check the WHOIS and verify all information.

I half feel like they deserve to be scammed for being so stupid, but I don't want the JA selling that domain to get the money.

And the funny thing about the auction is that, even after a lot of comments by lord1027 have been deleted and one of the comments still says that buyers beware as the domain registration date shows 27th Oct 2015, some people are still bidding on the project.

this are the kind of people that make the internet not a safe place

I'm astonished people have actually bid on this listing.
Certainly Flippa should not be allowing this type of auction to take place, but why the hell would anyone bid on it?

Did anyone take a look at his paypal earnings youtube video.
Look at it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D7QtJ9y7ZA

He sets the browser on full screen and proceeds to click the "View all of my transactions" links, and suddenly the page loads to "payments received".
Not only is this is scam, it's a bad one at that. Why are these people so gullible?

The auction's been suspended, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I had no idea Flippa is active on BHW, I'm glad to see you guys have taken action and removed it.

While you are at it:

But seriously... there are plenty listed which are obviously fakes if it's so hard to get employees that know their shit, you should probably hire someone from here...

From the looks of this thread, it seems that Flippa is a scammer's paradise.
But has anybody here had any good experiences with buying from Flippa?
It seems to me that since a lot of listings are scams, it's hard to find legitimate sites, so most people here might avoid it. But if somebody were to take their time to properly check these listings, they'd be able to find diamonds within the dirt that others would overlook.

What do you think?

There are good deals too, but you have to reasearch a lot before bidding. Don't throw money just because plenty other people did it too. Here's another scam which I (hopefully) revealed:

https://flippa.com/5751012-new-done-for-you-security-plugin-business-in-a-box-unsaturated-never-sold

Took me 5 minutes to see it's fake. It's actually Hide My WP plugin from codecanyon:
Code:

Lol page not found..

Flippa banned it after I reported it, they were quite fast this time. I'm impressed... altough it'd be more impressive if someone took the time to actually check the active listings.
