I had driven manual cars all my life and a few years ago decided to go for an automatic for a change.

Wish I had my manual gearbox back now, I miss the full control.
 
I drive manual but I like auto as well - used to have a vw golf auto and it's nice how you can just put your foot to the floor and it does all the work for you.
 
I have both stickshift and automatic cars the only negative is going uphill on a stickshift is scary af lol
 
I drive a sports car so I get a lot of shit for choosing manual, but drinking coffee + texting + changing radio stations + dog in car = no manual for me.

I drove a manual for years. It's fun except in traffic.

ETA: I have the paddle shifts on my steering wheel, so I can switch to manual too if I want to.

This is the reason one of my best friends is dying in a hospital bed as I type this. Please don't text and drive.

I live in the city, 30 stoplights in 6 miles, max speed 45. Automatic all the way.
 
Definitely manual. you will miss the xcitement of driving without it dude. My advice- dont go for auto.
 
If you're a girl or live in the US, get an automatic. Otherwise, manual :)

I drive in the city and I'm not really hot for driving so for me it's automatic. But I do get why people like manual so I guess there's no universal best way.
 
Tiptronic all day! You don't have to waste your energy, and you can shift gears manually if thats what you like.
 
Been driving manual for 13 years now, it gets kinda old (especially in traffic). I guess my next one will be automatic.

Manual Transmission:
Pros:
- You can start with a pusher
- The car can be towed if stalled
- Greater dynamics during acceleration
- The fastest response to movement of the gas pedal
- Less likely to fail
- Easier to design, easier parts replacement
- Initially when buying cheaper and cheaper to maintain
