My follow list is filled up, and im wondering if there is any unfollow script/bot out there?

I am also wondering how many i can follow/unfollow in one day.

Well, is that really free? and does it unfollow for you?

I have seen a BHW member offering a bot called Twiterdominator, in freebie section I think.

If this is a new account you shouldn't follow/unfollow more than a handful per day. If it's an account with thousands of followers you can safely go into the hundreds of actions/day.

If you just need to unfollow some people now then why don't you ask somebody with unlimited followliker to do it for you... I'm sure there're nice people here who'd spend a few minutes to set up your account to unfollow people who didn't follow you back... it takes just a few minutes to set it up in followliker.

sounds like a good plan, but i really dont know anyone with that program. do you brother? :)

what's with the already suggested manageflitter? with the free version if you use it to the fullest, you can unfollow 2.9k/day, that should be more than enough, use this imacro script to automate the process

HTML:
TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=TXT:Unfollow

well, at least to automate the clicking on the unfollow button part, so it would be semi-automated :)

and as somebody mentioned it above, if you have a relatively new and/or small account, don't go overboard with the unfollow
i have an aged (6+ year old) personal acc with 144k followers, not too long ago i unfollowed everybody who didn't follow me back, that was 20k people and i did it in a week, 2.9k/day, using manageflitter, noone blinked an eye, if you do something like that with a new account, you'll get the boot, so just take it slowly to be safe

My twitter account is two years old, has 3000 tweets, following 2000, and 1000 followers.

So i think its old enough?

thanks for the unfollow script, worked out great ;)

The best free option i've used, without needing the pay or hitting limits, is via a Google Chrome browse add on. Search google chrome twitter unfollow. You click mass unfollow and it unfollows everyone. No need for bots or manually inserting script.

I second this, I have used it in the past - you can unfollow quite a lot with free version - in fact I think you can unfollow as many as you want but you have to click on each one manually dont you, if its free account - they lay it out in such a way that you can do this very quickly though.

In the last I have coupled this site with a little zenno poster script to unfollow 30k plus followers.....

As for limits - I think you can follow anywhere from 500-1k per day without triggering warnings depending on age of account, ammount of followers, activity etc. And for unfollowing I believe you can unfollow as many as you want.

If you need a fully automated method and you can do a little php coding then I know that this script could pretty easily be set up to extract IDs of followers and then do a loop, unfollowing each one:

https://github.com/dg/twitter-php

It works with all commands form twitter rest API and there is command in there for unfollowing:

never heard of this one before, however it seems that it unfollows everyone, so it doesn't protect the mutual followers and you might not want to unfollow those who follow you back
