Firefox Private Browsing & Cookies

Today I've noticed that Firefox has a new feature "Private Window". It allows you to browse the web privately and it does not save cookies. So if it does not save cookies, this is a disadvantage for us affiliate marketers, isn't it?

What if Google releases something similar for Chrome? If cookies are not saved, we are losing our commissions.

People using this feature are unlikely to buy from affiliate sites that are specially made for earning affiliate commission.

This feature is only activated when user is in private browsing mode, So majority of users do not/will not go for private browsing mode. So majority of your business will not be affected. happy marketing

If private browsing is not set as default from the installer then its nothing to worry about.

Yeah it's not new I use it regularly, they just added "tracking protection" or some shit and made it come up after the update to tell you. Chrome on android has incognito too, but not something the general public really use so nothing to worry about, kind of similar to the adblocker plugins

exactly my thoughts, this is around since a few good years now

on the other hand, Google and some other sites put super cookies on your system, incognito/private browsing mode doesn't prevent that and those cannot be removed with ccleaner either

security task manager will show those, but if you want to remove them, you'll need the paid version, however "discounted copies" are available on the www

so if ever wondered how the heck is Google still tracking you when you changed your ip, used private browsing and deleted the cookies with ccleaner, maybe even faked your system settings and user agent, then super cookies can be one more reason
