Hey guys

So after working for a physical webcam studio close by for almost a year and getting screwed by them (not paying me, making false promises) i want to start my own location and run a business with it.i currently reside in portland. the studio i am referring too is about 4 hours away from me. ive been constantly in the field and the girls have been begging for a real location in town to work at. Is there anyone nice enough to mentor me or give me a guide on how to start this business step by step? im not a noobie when it comes to getting the models its just that i dont have a place for them to work at in town. I appreciate any advice that is given to me

thanks

ghost

If you have been working at a studio for 12 months surely you can relocate their setup but just do it better?

i want too trust me. but im looking for mentors who have been in the business for awhile who know things better then i do. like the legal structure and other little things i may not be aware off.

You won't find them. Try the forum GFY which is more adult-oriented.
I have no experience in it, but common sense is telling me that you'll face a lot of paperwork problems. That should not stop you. But the problem will probably come from competition & local pimps. Adult business is a shady business. Be careful & good luck.

i wouldn't say its shady. you'd be surprised of how many pissed of webcam models that are out there that are not being treated fairly. when i was with this company i never mett the competition in town. i didn't think there was any. fact i had a blast and still have fun talking to models

Well i'm pretty sure that the day a hooker comes work for you and that piss up his pimp, he realize you're running this business and making money off of it, it will obviously piss off people; that said, it might never happen, but if it does, it can brings only problems.

I seriously doubt that will happen.Never once ran into hookers and neither did my boss. But with anything i guess there is risk. The worse that that actually happened was that the girls were hiding drugs in the studio bedrooms without my bosses knowledge. he had to go thru that drama and fire them all.He didnt tell me more then that though

This is pretty much a insight to what went on, nothing really happened that was completely exciting or dangerous during the days i spent at the studio. My boss pretty much sat at his laptop all day contacting models, had his business partner come in and talk and had some of the girls come by and cam for a few hours while we strategised and talked about recruiting . then we went out to eat and had a few beers. and i went back home.

i honestly wouldn't mind working for someone though either. i have the industry knowledge.....i just need someone that will actually pay me. but id rather have my own studio.....i just need extra help.

As previsouly said, you're not on the good forum. GFY.com is where you want to ask those kind of questions.

Also go check out sponsorchat.com.

Like TayaX said, you better watch out for competition and pimps, pay them off or resolve the issue. This will happen 99%.

The studio you worked for before I believe they payed of the pimp or other shady persons. It's competition, and the truth is, they will do anything for money.

You need paperwork and other stuff too.

Best thing to do is research on google, folks at gfy.com are not that willing to help. Not so friendly either.

I wish you good luck.

:haha: hahaha again with the pimp talk. Thats a big misconception. Let me say it again. these girls were not hookers-prostitutes nor were there any pimps banging on the doors of the studio. these were normal everyday average women, strippers, young college girls and guys that i talked too and i talked to a bunch locally and around the country. though i will agree that my boss didnt tell me everything about what happened outside the business and what connections he made. he did mention that he went out to a stripclub with a bunch of lawyers once. and he knew big people in the porn industry and had big connections supposedly. so i guess there was a possibility of some shady connection. but i thank you for the info and will head your advice

Well maybe they got lucky. Truth is, I only know 2 person that ran a business like this in the US. Paperwork were a headache, more than any other business, but the street competition and local thug was the #1 problem. if you believe you can run a business like that without facing those kind of problem, then you should start digging a bit more about people experiencing this. It is nasty trust me.

I have only the slightest idea of what the paperwork would be like for something like this. But the technical setup isn't really challening. I think you're looking for an accountant/attorney more than you are for a technician.

i dont doubt it the least bit. alot of the girls had drug issues outside of the studio. im sure other studios around the world probally have the same problems

In my city we have 10+ such studios, and they are all run by local mob, everybody knows it. Only the bigger fish can catch the smaller fish, if you catch my drift.

This might sound a little offtopic, but thats the truth.

Find a place away from the sharks in your city. And if you have the girls, it will be much easier for you.

This is true. I figured out the technical issues, what sites we were affiliated with and how we signed up girls and and what equipment was used and how the laptops were wired and stuff and how we payed people. but the legal aspects of everything always alluded me
