How many articles can you write in a day? Do you have a set limit on the number of words that you are willing to write?

I try to plan my work around a maximum of 10,000 words a day, five days of the week. More than that and burn-out sets in. Its far easier to maintain a healthy state of mind, emotions with enough time for non-work related life, rather than pushing flat-out and hitting frustration. Each should find their own limit, and the style of writing also plays a role. It takes a while to hit your groove

It depends on the quality of articles that are required. Some premium paid articles require more research, it will take more time.

I do also limit myself as I do not want to get burnt out. I have turned down some clients that want articles asap as I just do not want to be burnt out like that.

That's a good question. Coincidentally, I was going to challenge myself to writing as many 300+ word articles as I can without hampering the quality of my site (meaning I need to write it, search engine optimise it, research the content if necessary, and find images). I'll let you know in this thread about how many I created by the end of the day. So far I've posted 1 today.

I can only write about 4-5k words in a day, just find it too repetitive to do more than that.
Tried with dragon naturally speaking as well - that makes it easier but still gets boring for me.

I would say that it depends from the subject that i will write about and the quality of the text that is required.
Lets say for high quality unique text if it is for research 2 - 3k a day.
If it is for one of the subjects i am passionate about 6 - 8 k a day.

I have constantly maxed out between 7.5 to 10k per day for more than 45 days for a client in a crucial time, when someone else turned down the work and the client was very happy with the work and he now gives me work regularly. But, still I was able to take enough breaks to keep going.

Nowadays I manage 5k or more. But, I can cover this quantity only with certain niche.

I write about 8,000 words a day. Every day. I find something random to write about and I write everything about that specific content. Now for me to learn to make profit. I can write a 600 word article in 20 minutes.

I type all of my articles out at about 85 words per minute.
