How many searches/month to aim for?

Hey, I'm starting to promote CPA stuff via SEO ranking on relative keywords.

I was wondering how tough keywords you aim for. How many searches a month. I'm not in the make money niche but as an example the keyword:
how to make easy money
gets 891 searches a month says market samurai. That would only be 30 visits a day. Which I think is somewhat poor. Maybe not if you do a lot of these.

Would you aim for higher or a lower search keyword?
And I'm talking about when your just trying to get your cpa stuff there as quickly as possible, making a few linkwheels and just a few backlinks and nothing more.

Does anyone here make moeny with SEO?
Could someone share how they make money with SEO.

You'd be faster using twitter to promote your CPA offers. I'm sure a few people here do SEO servivces in return for money, SEO doesn't directly earn you money otherwise, performing SEO on your website, to increase traffic, to increase clicks, to increase leads/sales makes you money.

why not? create a web 2.0 property linking to a cpa offer and using the linkwheel strategy to get it to rank high.

If people are looking for something, why not provide them with it?
And how on earth coudn't that make you money.

You could also combine that suff with cakeslice, so you can make it 100% relative to what people are looking for. Although I'm not a fan of that much blackhat.

You could also use Yahoo! Answers to rank for long tail keywords, and even adding a linkwheel to it to rank for better keywords.

How on earth is it not good to earn money?

And if people on here make money with PPC/CPA then why not do SEO if you have more time and less money?
I know there are not a lot of people doing it on here, or at least no one has created a make money thread about it.
