Anybody uses torrent here?

Really offtopic though. But anyone of you guys use torrent or downloads through torrent? What do you guys use really or do you use a downloader like zbigz and what not.

Yeah actually it was good years ago.
But then rumors started to spread about the client having a bitcoin miner.

I used to use the Pirate Bay and Transmission on my Macbook Air. Then we got a strong warning letter from our ISP. After that, I've just been finding the PDF's I use through Google advanced search, the movies and TV shows through Primewire + Chromecast, music through mp3boo.me, and programs I just pay for now.

I'm in the UK a lot of index sites are blocked so I use a VPN to download .torrent files.

I then use uTorrent without the VPN (faster).

If it was my name on the ISP account I would be far more vigilant, but it's no so (Not a family member either, I share a house an the others use it also)
