PRSTORM video tutorial! Please give feedback

Nevermind, I'll answer my own question and say yes.

I assume you didn't check all the proxies in the tutorial cuz it takes too long?

I have a different question though: what's the point of using the URL Cleaner? Why don't we want to use the full URL that we harvest?

Hey Casino Jack great video! I just got done watching it 3 times to make sure I have it down. One thing, I'm having a hard time seeing the key terms that you're pulling from those awstats. Would you mind posting a screen shot of them or just typing out what you put into Scrape Genius? Thanks added.

"Generated by webalizer"
"usage statistics" "Summary period: May 2009"
"created by awstats"
"produced by wusage"
 
ok i gotta say 1st of all kudos and great vid dude, now let me clarify because right now i am doing mainstream sites... is this tool merely to get backlinks it doesnt really post a link so viewers can see it correct it just pings right...

It only pings. But that ping I think shows up in a sites web stats as a visit. I don't claim to know exactly how it all works, but as I understand it, search engines (particulary G) harvest/parse a site's web stats. Somehow your site being in there somehow tells the search engine you're "important," or something of that nature.

Of course the link in a site's web stats (i.e. awstats) IS clickable and is technically a "backlink," but only the site's admin will be able to see that directly (or could click on it directly). I think the whole idea (don't quote me on this) is to get into as many relevant web stats as you can, it gets picked up by search engines, and you get a higher PR. Backlinks do come into play somehow too but I don't know exactly how. Again this is more my speculation than fact so double check.

Notice in the video that Casino Jack did a link check in google (link:website.com) and links came up. So somehow it does generate them.

Thanks for the comments, Ill make a prstrom video 2 this week to show how to use it its advantage..Plus I missed a step in video 1 I just noted yesterday...oops....(if you use proxies, increase timeout...duh !! , lol)

Great tutorial but I'm not sure if releasing this information to DP users is such a good idea.
 
great tutorial mate..please make a downloadable vopy since some has problems in live streaming website. gets lags sometimes..

+1 CJ and great job on the video. It really goes through it all thoroughly and I've learned a lot from this.

The only thing I can't understand is, why I'm not getting any additional links? I've watched your vid at least 10 times, froze the video over and over to get your search terms for web-stat bearing sites ... followed everything to the letter. Used the same programs you use to get my URLs, wash them, get my proxies, test them, etc. When using PRStorm I set the timeouts higher to 25 for the proxies, 40 threads, 1 hit. It's definitely doing it's thing as packets are flooding out of my computer. Yet my site doesn't seem to show up anywhere. So what could I be doing wrong. Any ideas?
