I seen that many thread still put keywords PR in the title.
But I hear about pagerank is dead.

any ideas?

Yes it's dead.

"any ideas?"

ideas for what WTF?

It's dead. People came, said RIP and moved on, but it's such a shame that some of us out there still believe in afterlife.

Google still uses PR in it's algorithm. However they no longer release the updates publicly.
Meaning that all current PR statuses that you can see on webpages are from the last public updates.
Why are some of us still using it?
Because, in conjunction with other metrics (PA/DA for example) can weed out low quality pages. Meaning that you can scan through tons of urls and get an idea of their quality without the need of hand checking each url.

These threads put PR in the title to attract all the mindless sheep.

OMG PR6 LINKS FOR $1??? ILL BUY IT NOW!!!!!!

Turns out the domain lost all its links years ago lol.

the worst is on sites like flippa when people feel the value of domain is directly related to this useless metric

PR is a great metric to follow if you're looking to find authority domains for your PBN. Even if pr is dead, you still know that you have a strong domain if all the other metrics are similar in addition to a good backlink and archive story of the site itself.

These days I only follow the PT and JK domain metrics. Find them far more useful when ranking sites. In fact a bought a domain name with a PT of 37 and a JK of 35 and it only took me just over a week to rank it first page for a 45k competetive high paying keyword.

PR is dead and it won't be useful to make a backlink juice anymore. However it's still able to extract HQ domains if you're doing mass-searching. Also from my experience, expired domains alike with high PA/DA usually followed by high PR too.

Yes, The PR Metrics is Dead.

As i Know, We can Use DA/PA, CT/TF, and Others Metric to know how Good The Site.... CMIIW

Thanks

PA/DA is very misleading. These metrics tells you that links exist but it does tell you the quality and the power of the links. You can inflate PA/DA with spam links. The only people that know the metrics of the links is Google itself.

Google Not Published PR Update But Continuously Use It...
PR not works anymore but it helpful to shorting quality sites with other metrics (DA,PA,CF,TF...etc) from ton of sites

Exactly. Its still fundimental to the way that Google works but pagerank as we know it - the number in a green bar on Google toolbar is dead because they dont publish it any more. But its still relevent to understand HOW google actually ranks sites and I guess based on that you can still game google in the same way.
