Hey guys! This is my journey.

I have decent experience with SEO from various ventures over the years but just recently did things start to click. I decided to see what I can do utilizing as little "Google" tricks as possible - I want Google to really think my website brings value to the web.

Right now I have one site/method earning me some money and I'm going to stop working on it to start a new one: this new one is the center of this journey.

I have 40 1000-2000 word articles I ordered from writers on Freelancer and I target several long tail keywords in them. I'm going to add these to a domain I already owned (4-5 months old) and turn it into an authority site. Then, I''ll build 10-15 high quality web 2.0s and point them at each page and blast the web 2.0s with shady links and the actual site with less shady links.

If anyone has recommendations for how to post these articles without Google hating my website, please let me know. I'd like to get them up ASAP.

Instead of creating a new website try linkedin Pulse.. have seen some people ranking really fast with that

id much rather have complete control over my content than give it to another site. might use that as a web 2.0 though!

so far so good. Great job with the earnings. Keep us posted and we'd like to see you reach the goal soon. Thumbs up

Just came back from the gym + eating a LOT of sushi and saw I made $100 today =D

Today is going to be a busy day:

Going to write up a new product review ( I plan on targeting long tails but the product reviews seem to rank well overtime) for a new niche so I'm going to go ahead and knock that out now. Then, I'm going to target long tails in this same product's niche and build web 2.0s for it - since during this review I'll be processing a lot of information about it.

Great journey OP! I think you can really do it! I'm doing something similar, so I will be following.
One advice, don't place the CB link in every article.. make outbound articles to your products. If not, google may not like it.

All my bests to you! :D

which web 2.0 properties you are using? is your money site a review site?

How much did you pay for the an article?
Good luck with your journey.

I paid around $10 per article by outsourcing from freelancer. Pretty good English but I do proofread every one to make sure the English is perfect.

Keeping that in mind, have not had much trouble using thirstyaffiliate to cloak links (i keep them ********) so hopefully Google doesn't change its mind about me. Right now it seems people are getting penalized so if it doesn't like me we will soon know.

Generic/common ones (weebly blogspot etc). Although today I made a new weebly and when I went to publish it told me that Google wouldn't be able to see the site unless I pay for it :( so maybe weebly is changing but I'll avoid it for now. My main source of income now is review site, I'm changing tactics to target long tail keywords

10/25/2015 Update
Today's Earnings: $165.XX

I'll be doing a physical and mental journey IRL while I'm doing this one, but will hardly update you guys on it. I've been working out for a while and I'm a decently built guy, just bigger (around 15% bodyfat). Going to get as low body fat as I can healthily (around 10-12%). This is only related because I'm going to take a run soon.

Today was really productive. Wrote a new review article, likely my last one (the product personally interested me so I decided to do it) that came out to be around 1000 words. Then, immediately made 10-15 web 2.0s and set those up to be hit with some backlinks. This product is pretty low competition so I ranked on the first page immediately for it =) Sold one copy already. I do believe the work I did today will help me hit number 1 for it down the line, so I'm ready to set-and-forget right now.

I'm now able to churn out articles at an incredible pace thanks to Dragon Naturally Speaking, so this whole process took about 3 hours. Once I get better at streamlining it, I think I can knock it down to 1-2 hours. To be able to create a long article, build all the web 2.0 buffers I could want, and then get it set up in 1-2 hours will be incredibly powerful.

I have quite a few school projects coming up to worry about, but in a bit I hope to be able to do 1-2 pages and 1-2 sets of buffers (10-20 buffers per link) a day. After one month of doing this, the ones I first did should be finishing up, and so and so forth. A rolling stone/snowball effect.

Song of the day is Immediate Music - Our Reckoning

Future plans:

Get better at writing/creating buffers even quicker
Lose bodyfat (through intermittent fasting and high intensity cardio)
Stay disciplined (Discipline>motivation. Motivation comes and goes, discipline is when you do something you don't want to do anyway)
Become the best version of myself I can!

Very good. I have some questions to ask for

1) What's category are you working with?

2) Does your review site only about one topic such as weight loss, or including various products reviews such as health, home, arts etc

3) What's your product's grav? I select health category and high grav, it is really competitive.

Thanks very much.

1. Anything and everything I feel like writing on.

2. Various

3. 5 - infinity i dont care about gravity at all as long as it has a few sales

Good thread, and nice to see you challenge yourself besides the IM. Good luck on the bodyfat, im bulking currently, and on the website!
Planning to do a CB + SEO myself.

Super ambitious of you! keep us updated. I'm doing something similar but not seeing as much success. I've got about 75 posts so far on my authority site, not much backlinking done. Will target "low-hanging fruit" keywords that have buyer intent and try a similar backlink method (with web 2.0's).

Thanks for the inspiration!

Good start buddy, you should definitely be able to achieve your goal soon!
I've had many affiliates who went from total newbies to making 4 figures per day in under a year, so with your current status, your background and your determination, you should get there quick enough!
