Friend Request Button

I don't know if this happened recently but whenever someone rejects my friend requests, the friend request buttons of those people recently disappeared. This has not happened before. I think this might be a new security procedure set up by Facebook on friend requests.

Maybe it puts like a 24 hour interval or something before you can ask them to be your friend again. It could also have to do with the amount of friend requests you're sending in a specific amount of time. I've never seen this before, but it seems likely that it's some sort of security measure like you said.
