Hello.
As the title says I'm on my way to creating my first blog ever! I am 18 years old from Bulgaria. I decided that I fill my spare time ( which is a lot) by doing something interesting and useful. I am doing it and not doing it in the same time for the profit(mostly because of boredom
). I want to get a C1 (TOEFL) certificate and go study in England but even though my parents are able to send me there to learn without problem, they do not want for the reason that I am lazy. I do not study, don't go out ( I used to go out with friends all the time but in the last 4 years I developed OCD germophobia and wanting everything mine to be clean) and want to change that. My father always says that if I spend that much time on the PC that I should learn something useful and benefit from it
I've done quite the reading here(like a week or so) and I know that is not enough but I will try to learn and practice what I've learned at the same time. But I need a little help.
I've learned that the most important thing about creating a blog is to have an already picked niche. Mine is WoW ( World of Warcraft). I am still new to the game but know a lot about it because I've been following it like 1-2 years before really playing it. I know that there are a lot of sites about the game ( MMO-Champion, Icy-Veins etc.) and that's what discourages me. I mean, why would people come to my blog if there are already blogs with massive size with 5 or so writers in them? Should I pick another niche or not? I mean this one I really like and somewhat understand it.
After that I should buy a domain. (Deciding between GoDaddy or Hostgator [correct me if I am wrong] )
After that I should create a page in Facebook and Youtube and try to join groups about the game.
After that I should apply for Adsense (?) or not?
I want my blog to be nothing special - to be the type of "Look what I found today in the game" or "How to get the new murloc pet that was only available to Asia" (If someone here that plays the game and don't know when the new patch hit, Blizzard added a new murloc pet called Terky that is the first murloc pet that can be obtained in the game without going to special events)
