Taboola and 500,000 views per month

Hi guys,

I have a site with purchased traffic getting 25k views per day, however my alexa rank isn't changing after 2 -3 weeks and taboola just declined me,

Anyone have any advise to get the traffic up for taboola acceptance?

Have you tried to get into any other ad networks. Maybe Outbrain and Revcontent will accpect your site? I heard that Taboola is the most difficult to get into but then their cpcs are usually the highest.

For advertiser, you gonna have at least 6k before taboola speak to you

Yeah Outbrain was a thought and also 50onRed, I do adsense at the moment but really want to diversify my sites, have you had experience with revcontent?

Hey, content.ad has auto approve I believe. You'll get around $0.10-$0.15 (normally) and all the way up to $2 per click for US traffic.

Thanks matey, yeah I just tried conten.ad was getting $0.15 per click but just got a notice that only 15% of my traffic was working for the advertiser so need to change around my traffic ratios a little, definitely a good source though

Your Alexa will increase only if your traffic is coming from webmaster / SEO niche. Ordinary people do not install Alexa toolbar or addon. There are many tools for gaming Alexa though.

Yeah I was thinking this, i'm just wondering how taboola guage how much traffic, i'm wondering if it's alexa they use as a estimate?

Well, no doubt, Taboola is trying their best to be among the biggest, but i think Content.ads is taking over, but it will be a long time.

Yeah i'm not sure content.ad seem to be quite small as they seem to do more manual looks at traffic sources and move you to cpa if they are not happy though they are more than happy to move you back if it changes, sites i create are information/viral sites, do you do much in this field?

Yes they are very hard to get into. Most likely they have really high expectations. Keep looking, try the ones that he suggested and let us know if they work for you.

Yeah i'm just trying to figure out how they actually distinguish how much traffic you get i get 25k per day so should be in the bracket but am not for some reason, it may be as simple as i need to wait a few more weeks, have e-mailed them to ask so will let everyone know the answer, am using adsense, tried content.ad but they seem to look at traffic in a lot more details being a smaller company, will give outbrain and propella and rev a go and let everyone know the results

Getting about 1-3% ctr so doing well and cpc is good,

On a side not I e-mailed Taboola back saying I was getting 20k-25k per day hits and just got accepted
