WTF problem with Copyscape ???

i have unique content on my sites, it is indexed now.

I went on to check whether copyscape can detect my content, so i simply copy pasted my article (already indexed) in to copyscape and it shows me 100% unique. I JUST HAVE NO IDEA

i have also checked whether i have kept my site on ignore list, i haven't !!

is it normal ?

Haven't you know ? Copyscape doesn't work like it supposed to work if you use more than 250~ words, try breaking into chunks of 200 words and then paste each of that chunk...

Not sure about 100%, but I've always use chunks of 200 words (and also full article). If you do SEO, try sometimes pasting a full article which is rewritted/spun and if it shows unique, try slicing into chunks of 200 words and then pasting it, and in a lot of cases it will show plag. That's why I use multiple plag programs and test different methods to be sure that it's really unique.

I use grammarly and copyscape only, but you need to know how to use them...

Hmm, what is your reasoning for aiming for purely unique content when the word count is small? It is not uncommon at all to have some duplicate content as part of a longer article. It's also how PLR Article Builders work - by creating a random combination of non-unique snippets to create an overall unique article. Are there penalties you know of for this kind of duplication? Just wondering as I have articles in my linkbuilding site which have some duplicate content, but the percentage is low.

Well I was talking about in the context of content of lower tiers. It's not the cost as much as the effort required to make it 100% unique, which is a lot of time if you're talking about 10s or hundreds of web 2.0s, for example.

I normally break these articles paragraph by paragraph and check each of the paragraphs, but then, I am just a hobbiest when it comes to content based sites. For larger volumes, it can become pain in the ass. Build a bot if you can't do it manually.

I don't think so because some time i check more then 2000 words but still i got same results.

Don't rely on copyscape alone, check with multiple tools online. And repeat the test by cutting down the article in to paragraphs.

As far as I know, it might sometimes find dupe content, but when you take a closer look at it, the dupe % is very low to the point you can say it is not actual duplicated content.

Did you tried placing the content on dummy page and check that using copyscape?

NO it is not normal.

I have been using copyscape for 3 years and never had problem like this before.

I just tested a few articles of mine with over 1k5 words and it worked perfectly.

Probably a glitch
