Well,
I dont have nothing much to do today. Let me write and share something with you all.

~ If you really want to make money online, DONT test any money making formula.~

Take my words, when the word "test" comes into equation, you are not gonna give your 100%. Because you are not sure whether its gonna be successful or not. And when you dont give your 100%..your "test" would be a failure.

Let me give you an example:-

I asked one of my friend to start an adwords campaign. And he said he will be testing it and if it worked, then would be scaling it. Since it was a test for him, he didnt put enough time into keyword research, didnt put a proper landing page and in very short time activated the campaign.

What he got was :- poor quality score, high ppc bids etc.

He came back to me saying that it failed. And when i asked him why he didnt put proper time into it, he said "IT WAS JUST A TEST" lol.

~If only he had this thinking that he would make this possible, then results would have been different.~

Try methods with this thinking that these are gonna work for you, and eventually this will happen, sooner or later.

Its common with loads of people, when we test something, we dont tend to give 100% to it. And that results in failure. (This happened to me in past as well).

So, dont TEST. Go for it and make it possible. Give your 100%. Dont be afraid to make mistakes.

~Mistakes are your steps towards SUCCESS ~

6 months of mistakes might well give you next 1 year of effort less earnings :)

And dont forget, people who are raking in thousands daily today, they have probably made more mistakes than you. And these rewards today are because of those silly mistakes they made earlier.

I hope this inspires some of you to work harder and achieve success.

(and I hope this post makes sense to most of you, if not all :D )

Cheers!

Great post! I am new here and i don't know anything about blackhat metods. I work with adsense and affiliate marketing for a while but i have never try something illegal.

Blackhat doesn't have to be illegal, unless you want to.

Haven't thought about it this way. You do have a point.

But testing for me means messing around with the method to see if the methods fits me, not to see if it works.

Thats why i said that this post will make sense to some of you, not all..:p

It depends on the person how serious IM and its projects means. A lazy person would define a 'test' as an excuse to not work hard; certainly doesn't apply to all.

I'd still "test", seems productive to me, eh. I don't want to go full throttle until I see the road is fine for me.

This is exactly the wrong mindset that makes testing so pointless. The way you profit greatly is by tweaking everything until it's perfect. In "testing" phases you don't go through this tweeking. Go all in balls to the walls, until you can no longer see any light in it.

AH OMG Dont get me started....

My friend WANTS to make money, and has alot of time.

So I told him about article marketing, game him about 2 good books to read and showed him some threads.

He wrote 3 really good articles and bought a domain and set it up....

Now hes like "if im not making any money, even one sale, by doing the minimum then it doesnt work. I dont want to do any more if i cant get a small amount of money by doing the basics......"

So he dont understand and this its all BS.... oh well

By that, I meant of going on to large scale, not skipping or cutting down the workload. It makes sense to 'try' on smaller scale, provided it involves risk that can put you in trouble.

I do go by the mindset of tweaking it until it works. It's ironic, things that are successful [to me] were (and still are) self-claimed saturated by literally many.

Just to clear, that my post is guided more towards newbies.

I personally made this mistake (of not giving 100% to "tests"). Now my friend did the same.

So, i thought of inspiring and letting others know.

Thats it.

For me a test usually implies that I see how much effort and time I have to spend, if it seems after a couple of weeks that it is really eating up a lot of my time then I drop it. I know with many methods earnings grow and take a long time to be stable so that's not so much what I look at off the bat.

OP, I know what you are trying to say here but telling people to give 100% in each test isn't the best advice either. If you have the key elements and understanding going into the test then you should be able to get some results to analyze.

It's kinda like making pasta sauce. You don't need to spend hours in the kitchen trying to make an award winning sauce to prove you can cook it. You need some sauce and you need a stove to get the basics done. Whether you add meat, spices, vegetables etc to the sauce to make it taste better is up to you. A reasonable person can see that if they added this and that to it, the sauce would improve in taste. And in the end, the test in the kitchen may show them they can just buy a jar of sauce and achieve satisfactory results instead of spending hours and extra money making their own from scratch. Ya ya I know...a long analogy but I think it fits :)

The same goes with testing an IM method. If you know the basics and have realistic expectations, you can do a proper test and be satisfied even if you made little to no money. It's what you do with the results that will decide how well you do. Anyway, that is my 2 cents.

You should analyze the water a bit before you dive right in, head first. Who knows, you might be diving straight into a concrete ground.

The best thing to do is do a bit of research and analyzing, then that's when you give it your 100%.

How is it illegal to test? Way to read the thread retard...

Eh? Spect was replying to the post above him, not the OP.

@kamal17177:
I agree. It's the attitude you go into a project with that makes all the difference. It sounds like your friend started his test with the expectation that it was going to fail. So his outcome is no surprise.

Whether you label it as a test or not.. don't go into something expecting to fail. This is something I think could benefit to do some improving on as well, so thank you for the reminder.

I started internet marketting 2 weeks ago pretty much, found this forum. I "tested" facebook, it didn't work and I didnt see potential. I "tested" my other idea, I saw potential in it and expanded.
Now I'm making 60$+ a day on autopilot. And I'm estimating I'll be making 150$+ a day once I put a couple more ideas into effect. (serious)

if u found a 60 a day method THAT quick and it worked then u have some good luck

what OP said does make sense & happen to most of newb including me :D

Wow thanks for bumping this thread.
I must have some good luck, or caught on to online marketing pretty fast. Looking back over the last year and a half, what the OP says is possibly the best piece of advice I've read about online marketing to this date.
To everyone out there not making money, take this seriously.
