OMG, help me! What should I study in university?

You, guys, know about computers more than anyone I know so I wanted to ask you xD

What should I study in university?

I really love computers, I love making pictures, logos, edit photos in Photoshop and make all kind of videos, edit them, put effects on them and all that. I like to edit audio, create background music and make websites and blogs. Basically I like creative stuff! xD

I also like posting on Instagram, Twitter, getting followers, internet marketing and all the business stuff too xD I'm charismatic and I love to talk to people and I can make friends with anyone

I guess the best thing for me to study is Multimedia or Graphic Design or Web Design based on the things that I like, but I live in a really small country in Europe and it's really hard to find a job as a Web Designer here. I tried to work as a freelancer on fiverr and other sites, but it doesn't pay all my bills xD I guess I need a stable job and I can do all the designing stuff on my free time and earn some extra money that way xD

I found out that you can study for free as a Web Designer in Denmark, but I'm scared that I won't find a job there if I don't speak their language (how will I survive there? xD) and what if I don't find a job after I have my degree xD Maybe I should move to England and try to find a job there or something? xD

I also found out that I can learn programming in my local university for free, I never tried programming, I only know HTML and that's it xD, and I'm really, really bad at math, I know it's hard, but should I try and learn that? It will take 4 years to get a degree and you can get a job in my city as a programmer or some kind of system administrator or something xD I will study or work hard if I have to, I will do almost anything if I have to! xD The good thing is, if I learn programming I can find a job all over the world and I can travel and work in Japan, Spain, Russia, anywhere! xD That's what I want - to travel and work! xD

Maybe you, guys, can give me some tips or lessons from your experience?

Since you've said small country in Europe I'll assume you're from Luxembourg. Finding a job in Web Design can be difficult anywhere. It's 1) a crowded industry, and 2) might not correspond with your wish to work and travel. Although freelancing gives you that possibility, if you get an actual job at a company, you'll be required to come to the office.

If I were you, I'd go with something more reliable like Business Law or Finance. If you were to ever move into the direction of self-employment, that knowledge will be helpful. There are many sources where you can apply for a scholarship.

What you're describing sound more like hobbies. It has potential of course, but it's not something you study at a university. You do it by yourself because you like it.

All design will be outsourced to india in the coming decade, I would say the same for graphics as well.

If you want a job in IT, look for stuff they will not outsource like sysadmins, security, network engineers.....

Or you could study golf or something

here in my university we have 4 types of IT

ITWMA - Web and mobile applications major (or the web designers)
ITSMBA - More on business management, analytics and accouting major.
ITDA - Digital artist (does minor web programming but they focus more on 3D modeling, photography, drawing, photoshop etc.)
ITAGD - Game developers

if you enjoy software development, algorithms or could be game development (game engine developer/game programmer) go for computer science. I'm a former ITWMA from our university but later on shifted to computer science. To be honest computer science is way harder than IT courses they have very complexed mathematics and algorithms. There are two types of computer science here in my university

CSSE - Software engineering major
CSSMBA - almost same as ITSMBA but more programming

go for university in a country that has specialization on the things you love. in your case go for IT with specialization in digital arts or something similar. my friends are really enjoying their class some of my ITDA friends are enjoying photography, animation, 3D these types of schools with specialization isn't cheap though, it cost more compared to normal programs.

What you're describing sound more like hobbies. It has potential of course, but it's not something you study at a university. You do it by yourself because you like it.

Omg, that's true! I really liked this one, it made me think! xD If you like playing golf, you don't need to work as a professional golfer!

That's what I fear the most! Too much competition!

Lmao! Everyone I know is studying medicine right now! xD I studied medicine before, because my parents told me to do so, but I didn't like it and I quit. I can pass all the tests, but I'm not good at it in real life! I didn't want to lose any more money and my time, before it's too late, I knew I need to find something else, related with computers, so I can put 100% of me in my job! All I think about is my websites, photoshop, internet marketing, business etc.

go for Artificial intelligence
or
Robotics
if those type of courses are offered in your country
they are the next generation needs
and good money will be there too
its 2015 & Computer is not next generation now , its for present generation & it will be overed very soon

I haven't been to university so not the best person to give advice BUT what I would say from all my friends that went to Uni is that you learn so many skills there aside from the actual subject you chose - you learn a lot of life skills and also get a really broad view of the subject matter.

Based on that I would say that don't limit yourself by worrying about what job you can get - I think that is a completely separate matter and related to how hard you drive yourself forward. Worry more about picking a subject that you can really give everything to - in other words go with what you enjoy doing and the rest will come automatically.

That's the only thing that I like! Since I was little! I tried to like medicine as hard as I could, but I couldn't! xD

It's like trying to force yourself to love someone you don't love. You can try as hard as you can, but if you don't love him, you will never love him!

But if you love him, you'll still stay with him, even if you get tired, bored of him and he makes you sick xD That's how I feel with internet and computers
