Do you think that if I made a funny/witty/clever GoFundMe page, I could raise money from strangers?

Or do you think that an IM Kickstarter would work, if I promised people rewards for funding me?

But mostly the GoFundMe thing. Do you think a really funny one could raise money, especially if I shared it on Reddit or something?

You need to raise money from the very targeted subreddits (also being uniquely famous). It doesn't just come to how to present yourself but how to make the perceived value of donating my five dollars seem like its worth the exchange (Amazon and Apple spend billions on this yearly). The final verdict would be it can be done, just make sure you set your goals small and build up that support over time.

- First step is to get your family and friends help you (donate).
- Try to make a community page where your potencial donors will be (such as fb fanpage)
- Try to make detailed description and try to make it so it will look real much as possible
- Upload high quality pictures of you or of what is your campaign about - dont google and download
- Even better than high quality picture is if you upload a video

Keep in mind that funds on your crowdfunding campaigns are very importnat. No one will really bother to read or watch what is your crowdfunding campaign about as soon they will se 0$ on your balance. I repeat myself, family and close friends are the one who need to help you in start.

I am an crowdfunding specialist and I know about crowdfunding inside-out.

Here you have more info about me, check 50secs long video (raise funds):

Create a gofund me account. Ask people to donate to your dead dog. Google pics of cute dogs and use that picture for your dead dog to make people feel sad and want to donate to you. Write a brief description saying, "your best friend died and how you can't afford to give him a proper funeral". Now donate $100 dollars to your own gofundme because when an account reaches $100 it now can be viewed by everyone.

Wow this is really low you should be ashamed if you are actually doing that or even considering it...

Personally, I would never do it. Its just something I thought up. Its funny to see people on that site get thousands of donations for something soo lame. For example, some guy got 5 thousand asking for beer money lol
