If you truly know SEO then you don't have to worry about a penalty.

The only penalty I fear is a manual penalty, as far as the algo goes im not worried at all.

This will be good, should be able to hone good practice SEO very quickly. Quick testing = quick results

Peace,
Z

This is awesome news, even if you lose couple of websites or few grands in the process, you will save the most important thing - time.

Is this intentional contradiction/irony? :p

Anyway, I disagree there are different types of SEO and you can truly know that aspect of SEO and make a full time living from it yet still have to worry about a penalty to some degree...

Exactly, I am actually looking forward to it :).

lol I did contradict myself but you get my idea.

I only fear a manual penalty. As long as you don't build spam directly to your site and no anchor text is above 10% (besides url or branded anchor) you are 100% safe.

I will bet my life on that.

Continue your good work with SEO,dont fear about these all penalties ;)

This further proves Google is here to destroy SEO

Why do people thing stuff like this is 'good' for black hat SEO? They are actually targetting Black Haters. Think about it, previously they shut down Google Keyword API which had nothing to do with user experience. It was directly targeted at us.

I feel Google is on a quest to take 'SEOer', us out of the game. Has anyone seen their recent Google Local listing update? They shrunk it down and providing a lot less information on a quick search for local businesses. Giving us less opportunity to rank our clients listing.

Foogle assholes just want to cut us out and give our power to these lame ass startups you see popping up everywhere. Anyone seeing a gradual shift of power from little guys like us trying to make a living to these big dogs like Yelp, Tripadvisor, Booking.com etc?

Like how can someone in 2015 really think about making a living doing IMIng. This really worries me. All these updates are more towards giving power to content farms like Buzzfeed. Not only that, but these big sites are also shutting down data which SEOers can use. Facebook shutting down Graph, Instagram becoming a lot stricter, Pinterest taking massive control on whats who posts on their site? Why? Why do you think? They want people to use their own ad platform! .All of them are trying to force small businesses who would initially consult us to use their own ad platform instead. And bloody foogle wants to give them more power to do so! WTH

Someone enlightenment me with some good news, I'm quite stressed about this. Everything is becoming so 'white-hate SEO' which literally is becoming content farms. These assholes want us to go out to real research, write absolute high quality content on our own dime and then they want to make money from our fruit of labor.

The harder it gets the better it is. It will root out the weakness out of the playing field - less competition for me.

Yeah, basically white hat where IMing becomes a job. Black hat is dead.

Please go back to scary-hat SEO and let the big boys steal all the traffic :google2:

Blackhat SEO will not be dead for long, looonnngg, looooonnnnggg time my friend, Google is just an algo,if you ever did some testing (and i mean real testing dropping $XXXX in tests that only brings you data) you would know what i know, and what i KNOW is that Google can't 50% of what it claims it can.

And the great thing for them is, it doesn't have to, cus scary-hats like yourself will run away screaming and disavowing from a backlink and that is what Google wants, do some serious testing, drop some $$$ in your R&D and i will promise you that you will see Google in a whole new light.

Start wilt longterm ranking and SAPE, or longterm ranking and tiered GSA blasts and see what you'll find out, if you play your cards right you can make some decent $$$ along the way.

Invest like eny othert company in your R&D or get a dayjob, itis THAT simple.

Goodluck
