Obtaining A Following/ Making money with Instagram help.

Hey BHW people,


I have been here for a couple of months now and have singled it down to a few methods I want to try and mainly I want to get into the instagram area of internet marketing.
I really wanna focus on this and get it down to make some good residual income for myself. I've read quite a bit and have a few concerns and questions that I can't seem to figure out.

Firstly, (assuming im starting from 0 followers) Where should/can get photos from to post on my page? Am I suppose to take my own photos, get it from the internet?, or get it from other big instagram profiles and use their pics ? Just not sure what resources for pics I can or allowed to use.

Second, is there any good legit sites to create a good following, or should I buy shoutouts etc... or Should I follow big pages and unfollow etc...

Third, what are good residual ways to get income from having a following? I know shoutouts work, doing surveys for giveaways are hard now because of instagrams new policies. Directing to affiliate products, or your own product is an option, but I dont have one myself.

Fourth, Should i be looking into high comp niches or try and find a low one... I was thinking fitness, fashion, gaming, but I'm not sure ( im interested in all 3 myself anyways )

Well, I'm managing one account in IG for about 2 months. So I'm going to answer your questions based on my short experience, hope it helps

1.- Doesn't matter, just find some cool pictures and post them.

2.- Find some accounts that works with your niche, and start following their followers. Start slow, increase the daily amount little by little. I followed 50-150 per day the first week, and keep adding 50-100 people every week. The key here is look legit to instagram. When you reach 1K following, start to unfollow everybody until you have 100 or less.

3.- Shoutouts it's the only "safe" way. But when you have enough accounts and followers, you can easily achive your goal.

4.- Popular niche of course, if more people are interested, you'll have more followers.

My personal advice is, forget about CPA or put any kind of links in your IG. Play safe and think in long term.

Almost 7K followers, in one account. Once I reach the 10K mark (in one month, I guess) I'll start to sell shoutouts, and with the money buy some VPS and scale it up. I hope, if everything works as it planned, in one year since now make about 100-200 USD a day. It's a little bit long the wait, but I think that worth every effort.

All good dude, my goal is the same thing as yours. Thanks for replying again btw. I thought shoutouts are only profitable at high amounts of follwers ie,500k+?

As for a niche, do you think it'd be more profitable to do like funny quotes/pics memes, like 9gag, or like Fashion.

Depending on the niche affiliate vendor programs would work with your profiles if you prefer to play it safe a bit.

There are Etsy, Amazon & AliExpress to look into. If you want to think smaller go directly with niche specific marketplaces by typing in... "niche" "products / affiliate programs."

That should give you a rough idea. Any big brand would allow you to hold your reputation with IG's algo and avoid potential repercussions.

Just be careful as once it becomes near impossible in like 20 years to grow, your natural increase in followers will negate the greedy feel as you'll have it made by the time no one else can compete with you as fast & freely like it is today.

Just post a product image with a link in the description with your store name and you might get .10% of your followers to click around which is about a couple dollars per 10,000 followers every time you do it. Eventually it will exceed your shoutout value unless you charge by the hour.

This would enable you to schedule and sell on an as needed basis to provide additional revenue streams to your authority profile.

I contacted some big account's, and I see they have one general price: $1 USD per 10,000 followers. So if you have 50,000 followers, you can easily get $5 per shoutout.

Search in Google "sell shoutouts", there are tons of marketplaces, the only thing is that you need to have +50k followers to get approved.
