As some of you may or may not have heard, ClickBank have introduced the "Always On Shopping Portal" which amounts to an annoying, potentially converison-sucking header bar that now sits at the top of each sales page: http://www.clickbank.com/introducing-the-new-always-on-shopping-portal/

Platinum members are going to have their own rules and a much better "Always On Shopping Portal" which is going to make those products much better to promote (and potentially drive up competition within those products?) so I wonder if Platinum members might even get a win from this.

ClickBank are historically a dinosaur and very slow at implementing any changes period (hey, when are we going to get tier 2 commissions? Oh yeah, never) so the fact they rolled this out so quickly seems to say that they were under pressure to do so. Those tinnitus and diabetes products they let sit in the marketplace might be coming back to bite them...

But perhaps it is indicative of a change that is going to be forced upon the entire industry. Unsure. Anyway. There you go.

Got the email on this today, and immediately recognized it as an attempt to either outright steal affiliate commissions, or possibly increase traffic flow across and through the entire network via this shopping portal. I don't think it will be very successful, and as I am only an affiliate and not a vendor - I think I might just iframe the offer pages on my own sites, and trim the super annoying header bar completely out of the frame.

Can someone provide a link to a sales page currently using this? Can't find any at the moment that do.

I got an email about this. I am concerned about the Vendor Sells Page Bypassing & Directly to send to the checkout page.

OK here is the thing about sending directly to the checkout page.

If you've got a sales page/landing page that sells BETTER than the original landing page/sales page then by all means, you SHOULD be doing this already (though I understand it is a lot of work to set that up).

The ClickBank products I promote I do this (have my own sales page, then send straight to the checkout page) so this change doesn't bother me in terms of my affiliate sales.

BUT, and this is a big but, the checkout page is also supposedly going to have this header too. But if they're at the checkout page, it probably matters a whole lot less. Crossing fingers.

How can you do this? plz

I don't think you can complianty engage in this behavior. Got email from CB today though saying they realize they have to change all this again, so probably get ready for more changes within the next couple weeks. I think/hope their communication approach will improve this time.
