Actually this won't effect me dick, made 7000 last month selling digitals through classifieds.

The insertion fee of $9.95 is designed to kill the $0.01 ebooks which were there just for generating feedback. No problem, if you sell good stuff, your feedback will be positive anyways, so what the hey. The only problem is to break even you need to sell like 3-4 copies of a $2 ebook per month. Also not a big deal. May even increase the overall quality of the materials offered for sale

that was practically his whole business besides his stupid websites like mentorshipmontly and all the other bullshit. hes still going to suffer because people are going to want to buy his shit no more because they hardly cant sell there ebooks on ebay any way!


but, this is what gets me, how are powersellers who sell ebooks going to maintain there powerseller status? when you think of it, if its all they sell is digital products, how are they going to maintain there feedback and monthly sales quota for being a powerseller?

Easy I sell an ebook I wrote and have my own unique copy for. I'm the only one selling it and sell it for 9.99 - 97.99. I branded myself and don't use other peoples shit ebooks to sell. I don't mess with .99 ebooks, I know alot of people are banking with those. But why do that when you can make 100x that.

The way to make huge money on ebay is to make your own shit. Something people have never seen before. Something they will say, "WOW this one might actually be different." If you go through the ads on ebay they are all the same. You just have to have a decent offer that is different from the rest and you will bank guaranteed!

Yall can do that while a unique few keep using the system in their own way and clean up. I think everyone is looking at this horribly wrong. This isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

All it means is Step UR Fucking Game up and think smarter, because MOST people won't. They will just sit and complain. I can assure you that you can make a killing still, you just have to think differently. Regardless if eBay goes back to the way they were or not, don't bank on that.

you are very right. i think a lot of the small time people will jump out of the game, leaving a lot less competition and oversaturation, and the people who stick with it will be in for a long and profitable ride, especially that you can charge more too, if you please to.

What you can do is to put your ebook onto a cd and then ship it out to the customer. Sure, you're going to have to figure in the costs of envelopes, cd's and postage, but if you have a high quality product you can charge more for it to make up the difference. Or you can just post a classified ad and then have the traffic redirected to your site.

Just like smitty said this just gives the opportunity for people to think outside the box and step up their game.

This will raise up the profits of sellers, and kill profits for ebay. sell the same ebook for .01 and 4.95 shipping and handling and you make more, ebay makes less.

But it is more work, and most people will not take the time to do it.

Dude, that tip right there is awesome. All you'd really have to do is emphasize that the book is available on CD and isn't a direct download. That way eBay can continue to get their fix and now you can sell through auctions.
