Hostwinds IP privacy service

This is how they replied to my request of adding that service:
"This is not a service that we offer Richard, the IP swip will reflect that of the owner of the IP address.

However, as you are on a shared server, your IP will be displayed simply as Hostwinds ownership."

Now the real question is: is that true or they are making fool of me?

It's true. The IP is shared by others as well and you cannot demand personal privatization for an IP address that you do not own.

The shared server means that only.
A Single IP of that server is shared with other clients who exist on the same server.
They cannot assign different IP to you.
Either you can purchase and dedicated IP and assign for your self
