PBN in 2nd tier?

I have a small PBN that has been working great, but I am constantly paranoid that
my competition or google will find it. Is there any benefit to putting a PBN in the
2nd tier pointing to 1st tier passing link juice? My reason for asking is I'm guessing
that a PBN in a 2nd tier would be harder for competition or google to find.

Your thoughts?

P.S. I have have Link Privacy wordpress plugin blocking seo majestic, ahrefs.com, etc.

Yeah you can do that, you will lose about 15% of the link juice from each link (according to moz)

Its really up to you on how you link to your site.

use robots.txt to block bots from ahref, moz...they won't figure out your PBN

of course it's best way - use 2-nd tier, you will be more safe

Pointing PBN links in Tier2 is one of the safest way to rank. Also get some other Tier2 links from different sources.

Now that I think about it I believe the number is actually 27.75%

Lets say a PBN site has 100 points of link juice and it can only pass 85 points (pages can only pass 85% of its total link juice)to whatever it links too.

The web 2.0 the PBN site links to would get 85 points (85% of the 100 link juice points) and that web 2.0 can only pass 85% of its total link juice which would be 72.25 link juice points.

In total that's a 27.75 point loss of link juice from PBN--->web 2.0--->money site

And each page wont always pass its maximum link juice due to the 200+ ranking factors.

All in all i would say 30%-35% is a good number to go by.

It's a great way to boost your tier one links. Regarding your security risk, make sure you make your PBN's look like real money sites.
That's the best way to get on anybody's radar.

It will help for sure. But make sure you block all backlink crawlers. Don't depend on plugins. Use Codes in Robots.txt and in .htaccess

Adding on to what Alieve said, many people get pulled down for using plugins to block bots. Its much safer to edit your htaccess file than actually use plugins. Plugins are easy and their not hard. Htaccess file, once you figure it out, its actually quite easy.

I wouldn't do htaccess on ALL of your pbns though -- bad footprint
