title says.. i own a cloaker called kloakit. will it help my rankings? Does search engine cloaking still work?

There are ad cloakers for google and yahoo that exist, but they are very expensive $5k and up

Cloaking is only as good as the content you are showing to search engines, along with your PR, backlink profile, etc. Cloaking "works" in the sense that you are showing different (hopefully higher-earning) content to users than the content you are showing to the search engine to get ranked, but again it all depends on your individual situation. Simply using a cloaker doesn't guarantee success by any stretch of the imagination.

This is true. Too many people make the mistake of thinking that just because cloaking can be so expensive it must be a golden goose laying constant golden eggs. This is far from the truth, and the times that cloaking is the way to go are generally self-evident. If OP is asking about cloaking but has little idea of the real meaning, or possible implications of serious cloaking - a lot of stuff is going to get missed along the way, a lot of accounts are likely to be closed, and a lot of money is likely to be lost.

On the other hand - if you know exactly why you need/want a cloaker - it can certainly be a very wise investment OP. Do be sure you have a solid big-picture understanding of your need for a cloaking solution before investing, and be prepared for some learning curve - as this is unavoidable even if you are technically inclined.

I have used MrBlackHat's JustCloakIt before and it is a very comprehensive platform with a lot of options to meet a lot of different functional needs.

I have seen literally every single top 3 ads on bing using cloaking. <for my business niche>

I wonder how much does a good cloaker cost?

I have seen many calling MrBlackjack the best here but idk if thats real or some fake endorsement.

Kloakit was a great product during its day... but it's IP list and IP-only approach won't work longer term these days even for search engines. Whether you can add enough snippets with enough variety for the page generator is another issue. For engines other than Google, Bing it is likely fine or if you augment it with a (much) larger IP list that takes into account the shadow spiders and partners companies use these days.

Some of the more popular commercial cloakers support organic traffic still. (Mine does so I am of course biased). The main difference being that with the ad-network centered cloakers you are building campaigns to cloak individual pages/URLs and not entire domains.

Cloaking is a search engine optimization (SEO) technique in which the content presented to the search engine spider is different from that presented to the user's browser. This is done by delivering content based on the IP addresses or the User-Agent HTTP header of the user requesting the page. When a user is identified as a search engine spider, a server-side script delivers a different version of the web page, one that contains content not present on the visible page, or that is present but not searchable. The purpose of cloaking is sometimes to deceive search enginesso they display the page when it would not otherwise be displayed (black hat SEO). However, it can also be a functional (though antiquated) technique for informing search engines of content they would not otherwise be able to locate because it is embedded in non-textual containers such as video or certain Adobe Flash components. As of 2006, better methods of accessibility, including progressive enhancement, are available, so cloaking is no longer considered necessary by its proponents.

No it doesn't help your rankings, your site needs to do the ranking (well in my case at least) i use WPcloaker that cloaks my entire wordpress site, i use it together with the serp shaker plugin and i am killing it in the longtail and local keywords, redirecting the traffic directly to ecommerce salespages or leadgen pages, if you wanna go this route and you don't wanna drop a lot of money right away, you really should check out WPcloaker.... (no i am not affiliated with wpcloaker n any way shape or form, i am just a real happy customer that made a lot of $$$ with the plugin(s))

Even if you have proper cloaking software it dosn't mean it will do everything for you - still you have to "promote" this sites.

Kloakit was considered as a very effective tool few years ago but according to reviews of many users it could not work in long term basis.

Hello dude!
You asked about cloaking. It is helpful for better ranking as content.
Search engine cloaking still works easily and beautifully.

Search engine cloaking will only work for you, if you are good at SEO.
Otherwise, look into cloaking paid traffic sources.

Yes, both methods are massively profitable and still work.
