Creating a second ebay account (different person) in same household

Hi there, so a bit of a background of my situation. I have a family member that runs a very successful business selling a product that I now wish to sell (we have plenty of stock on hand already)

Now, because it is their livelihood and I am being given this opportunity to sell the product alongside them, I want to take every precaution as possible to avoid having these two accounts being linked together. The reason being is that, if I make a mistake and get penalized by eBay, they will not in any way put a limitation on the other person.

The problem here is that we live in the same household and I am aware that eBay/PP are very savvy when it comes to linking accounts together that share the same address/same IP, etc.

I plan on using a mail forwarding service (a business in the same city as mine) for the product returns, so I have the address problem solved, but now I am left trying to figure out what to do about the IP.

I am thinking that using a UK VPS would be the best option for this and using a dedicated/static IP with it. Will this be sufficient or am I overlooking anything here? Can anyone that has done something similar (whether it's stealth accounts or whatever) that can vouch for a reputable VPS provider?

simple solution...just use a separate computer and separate internet connection...either use a tethered phone internet connection or get a separate internet provider. There is some risk of accidentally connecting via wrong IP when using VPS

A VPS would be much cheaper than getting a new internet connection (ISPs are faily expensive near where I live) and of course I would be using a different computer. I am just wondering if there's anything else that I am missing here

also remember to use separate pictures and keywords from the other account when making listings

It sounds like you got everything right.

If you're going to have multiple eBay/PayPal accounts I recommend separating them using user accounts on your computer.

Make sure you track the IPs of both accounts and never use the same IP. Using a VPS/VPN is good as long as its dedicated and not a shared IP.
