I've been out of internet marketing for about two years now. I started in 2011 and had mild success with a few blogs and some affiliate sales off of those but I was wasting too much time and the money was never consistent or reliable. Due to an injury I'm out of work for about the next year and want to fire this back up again. Unfortunately I forgot to renew all of my domain names but one, thankfully it was the one making me a little bit of money. I'm hoping to buy a few simple niche websites with very predictable outcomes (even though the money is low), test out the waters and then scale appropriately. I have no pie-in-the-sky dreams like I used to, just hoping to spend a small amount of time and receive a small profit.

Any recommendations for sellers of niche websites? I see tons of threads here but I'm not sure who's actually actively making them for clients.

Have you thought about niche research, and the subcontracting the writing and design (separately) eg on elance and then using adsense, amazon or CPA such as clickbank for monetization?

You'll get much better results that way.

Thank you for the suggestion. I used to outsource to Fiverr for writing that I was never satisfied with and struggled (wasting hours) on Wordpress design that I was never quite good at or satisfied with. Elance sounds promising. Part of me wants a sample to really see how it should be done. Right now I'm taking the time to do some thorough keyword research before instead of just buying domains that sound promising or building around what I like.
