Website with Traffic but no revenue, need ideas!

Hi people. I have a website in the ecology niche. My best ranking keywords are about oil. Nice CPC and all, but not converting. My traffic comes from young audience, according to G analytics. The website have around 200 to 400 unique visits per day. I tried a lot of things: cpc, cpa, affiliate marketing...nothing is working really. Most traffic comes from US.

Make sure your ad placement is optimized for clicks. I can't explain it in writing so you will have to do some research on that topic. You may want to look into heatmaps as well so you can understand what your traffic is doing.

change ads placements and then try to use popups/forms to grab users/visitors emails and promote your offers to them on reqular basis may be that can help.

Did it occurred to you that some websites are more difficult to monetize than others, and maybe this website is giving me some headaches but that doesnt mean that all websites I flip are like this? My websites have great revenue most of the time.

how about targeted keyword traffic? If you niche is quite specialized then how about writing a ebook or report and selling it on the site, something that's not being sold anywhere else. I don't know about your niche but what about amazon do they have books? I'd try searching for courses online with affiliate schemes and promote those

I just realized that the problem can be with adblock, blocking all adsense and affiliate banners. I just installed a plugin to ask visitors to disable adblock...lets see how it works.
Anyway, good ideas you all are giving to me too! Amazon, cpa, heatmaps, ads placement, all valid, thank you.

The simple question is: is this a market where you actually CAN monetize? If there are no offers to make money then you will have a hard time. Also with this high bounce rate it means you have search traffic, not readers. Meaning you will only be able to get advertisement for banners. However with a specific niche like that you could talk to the companies in this area and offer them sponsorships. Dont expect much however from this low amount of traffic.

why not add amazon books to your site in the way of reviews. Just done a quick search on amazon.com - Amazon = 187,788 results for "ecology" - 3,838 results for "ecology oil" this would be enough to be getting on with.

For all websites, revenue problem with Ad BLock. Try poptm for good revenue and to bypass Ad Block plug-in.
