I've been using namecheap shared host and I'm not happy with the results.
It now takes about 1.5 - 3 sec. to load, which is terrible because it's a very low site, I want to reduce the load time to up to 0.30 sec.
I heard about siteground, what do you guys think? any other idea?

Thanks.

There is over 100 factors that may cause your website to be slow loading.
However there is no way to make it load for 0.30 in regular hosting server ( even in Localhost the load speed will be around that time "0.30"). So I don't think that changing the hosting provider iwll help you. Actually 1.5 to 3 sec is normal for pageload worldwide.

Thanks for your comment,

The problem is 60% of visitors leave the site before it loads.

Use Google Insights for your speed check. Google even provides new optimized images after check.

This is a good suggestion, try to find what's the reason for slow loading of your site. If it is because of the hosting, there are many cheap hosting providers here on the forum who provide very good services. If it is because of other reasons, then you have to manually optimize your site and changing hosts wouldn't help in any way. :)

How can I use google insights to check it? never used it before..

i'm with namecheap for over 8 years now and find their speed reasonable. my site is fairly small also, just 1k visitors a day. people leaving under 10s is normal and shouldn't affect your ranking.

As you have mentioned that you need good speed, hence I recommend you to look for a good hosting provider, since networking is the way for the hosting provide to save some money by providing slow Internet speed to the client. In dedicated server you well get what you have paid for, hence always look for a quality hosting provider.

Analyze your site with it and you will get suggestion how to improve your site speed. GTmetrix can help you also with that.

1.5-3s isn't bad, the average page load time is 6.1s

You know that 1.3 sec loading speed is fine right? I'm not sure that there is hosting provider who can provide better loading speed of 1 to 1.3 sec for online website.. And you know it.. I can't understand why you post this..

Thank you all, I've made a check using google insights and it tells me this:

"Reduce server response time
In our test, your server responded in 1.3 seconds. There are many factors that can slow down your server response time. Please read our recommendations to learn how you can monitor and measure where your server is spending the most time."

Do you think I should change my hosting?

I use to cry about my load speed all the time. Then I switch to rackspace but that go expensive quick. I learned some basic linux and now host with DO. They are amazing for the money, just takes some time to learn how to set up everything. I got use to not having a cpanel

You have great loading speed. If you don't have other problems such downtime etc then stay with them for now :)

I've used some of the google insights suggestions and the load speed really improved, thank you guys for the suggestion!

:) Is all about optimization Is not always hosting issue :)

Siteground is good but it's not the best option. You could always host your own servers, or up your bandwith a bit until you have all of the speed that your site needs!

Maybe your site loads more than 3 secs and that's why they leave your site. I suggest you to change your host. If you are unsure about siteground you can try the host I am using which is 4Goodhosting and I am sure your site will run very fast. The uptime they provide is excellent. The pricing is reasonable. The best thing about these guys is that they provide 24 hours support and responds in minutes and not hours.

Scottyaks143 can you stop talking B.S? http://4goodhosting.com website loads from Europe with average 7-8 sec and is 80% text homepage.. Is with this provider you recommend him to fix his loading issue?
