Domain link getting blocked within a week :(- multiple times even when being discreet!

Have you emailed them and asked why your domain has been banned?

Welp, my websites will not be unblocked. But my accounts are intact. Time to rollout new ones. Though I'm not sure how I'm gonna handle my existing pics. They're good enough to be popular.

GL to OP on trying to get his sites unblocked.

Did they ever explain why? Just copy all your web content to a new domain(safer than redirects) and modify the images enough so they don't show up as duplicates.

Yes. Reported too many times. I suppose it comes w/ the territory when my popular pins were getting 100+ repins from big boards. It felt great at the time. But it's a 2-edge sword. Some of them must have been reporting me for whatever reason.

My accounts are still members of big boards. So while I'm bummed, I'm not completely down. Just have to pin w/ caution. And yes, I am going to copy content to a new domain with a twist, of course. The goal now is to continue building my own boards and spreading out my images among different domains.

Hmm, well I had no intention of asking them to unblock mine but if they told you why yours was blocked then it might be worth me asking so i can know what to avoid.

I can guess though. Since my site was shit so my plan is to make a whole new site but its a big job so ima avoiding it at the moment. :D

You should as a learning experience. Also, some of my pins are being reassigned to spam sites. Meaning that some of these sites are getting through the system. However, that might change when enough peeps click thru and they get reported.

But why would pinterst reassign to a spam site doenst make any sense. hence why i suggested the hack theory.

Many images pinned by other pinners from my site are now leading to various blogger sites. I have no control over these pins, and neither do hackers who'd hack me because they would have to hack into those accounts as well.

Also, most of these sites have been removed from blogger but not blocked by Pinterest, so you get the non-existing site message when you click on a pin. The most popular one, however, is reassigned to a still active blogger spam site. That spam site is now getting a large infusion of new visitors.

Here's the thing, some scrapers picked my images in the past. And when they were blocked, Pinterest changed their links to my sites. It's the case for many other original sources who've been scraped. I monitor a few of those pins so I've seen the changes.

In my case, though, the original source site is blocked. So the reassigning algo is just picking up anything in its database to link to my images. Anything with similar keywords, title, description, etc. I'm thinking even past scraper sites who picked my images that were abandoned but not blocked or blocked but somehow whitelisted again are possible new link candidates.

I don't think I was hacked, but I could have been targeted for spam flagging. That's one theory.

What I think happened is a series of 2 events. First, I triggered an autoban by manually changing a lot of pin URLs as I indicated above.

Second has more to do with this profile's past catching up. Back in the days when this profile was suspended and it was my only account, my website was somehow spared. Meaning that I could not use my profile, but others can still clickthru and pin from my website. I'm sure that at the time there were also reports of spamming, because back then I was pinning 50-70 pins/day from this site. Those reports did not affect me then, not sure how. But when I got auto banned, tech support had to manually look behind my records and determined that there were enough reports to keep me blocked this time.

That's what I'm going with. And the lesson is not to change URLs a lot or at all for fear of autoban.

A possible 3rd event that may have come into play in recent weeks is being more aggressive in pinning my links to large group boards. But my profiles did not get kicked out of those groups. So who knows.

I've also had pins where modified images (amazon images) hosted on my own site were being changed to other websites by the system.

You can flag them for copyright infringement if they are really yours. Roll out the account conversation from that end too and reference your blocked account in your protest mail too.
