Hello I am trying to prevent a reverse IP lookup, using the IP that is attached in the header of every email I send.

I was thinking of going to Katz Global to use their email servers.. But i want to continue using my yahoo email..

Any Ideas ?

Gmail webmail will not reveal your IP in the header.

You could use a remote server or a proxy to email through yahoo.

I forgot to mention.. I am using thunderbird.. does that matter when using a proxy ??

As has been mentioned, you can either use a proxy, or use Gmail. Do you absolutely have to use Thunderbird? Gmail is probably the easier option.

You might want to get a private proxy service, then route it through thunderbird. You'll always be protected in that particular case, and they only run around $10 a month. There's a couple good ones out there. I'm using secure tunnel. Very happy with them.

Possibly... It's more a matter of how your mailserver works. Some don't put the IP of your machine in the headers, some do. If you're behind a proxy, the proxy's address will show (if your mail server shows addresses).

You're best bet is to use a web mail service that does not show the senders IP.

There's an easy way to find out what recipients will see - send a test message to another one of your accounts (e.g. a fresh dummy account at hotmail so it can't be traced back to you) and look at the headers to see if your IP is in there.

Just be connected to a VPN when sending mail. That way your real IP will not be shown regardless of whether the mail server hides sender information or not

ok..

i am using yahoo mail plus and I use host spot shield to change my ip but today it wont allow me to send messages now unless i turn hotspot shield off...

any ideas ??

this is the first time this has happened

is yahoo blocking me from sending emails....... behind a proxy

Yea just used secure tunnel.... yahoo wont let me through..... they will only let me through when I dont use a proxy... this is some b.s......

any ideas.. i am just ewhoring.... but i dont want to give up my ip..

and i need thunderbird because it helps me automate the process
