First of all, it's wrong to mark this service only for "tier-1, 2, 3" etc. - in fact, contrary to popular belief, I get almost 50:50 share of Direct money site linking and Tiered linking and it seems both work great, provided you know what you're doing.
Having said that, when you do direct money-site linking, you must be extra careful and you must know how to mask your SEO effort from google's radar. No, I am not saying that you should be EXTRA careful with my links, but, you must be EXTRA careful with even the most whitehat links, when it comes to direct linking to money site.
Regarding stick rate, it always vary - and always change with the change of link-database which gets updated in every few days. Last time I checked some old report which were done like 4 months ago, I noticed almost 30% links still live which I think is just phenomenal considering the nature of the links. This, however, no way any guarantee of prediction of the stick rate of your own order, cause - database always gets updated very frequently.
