Creating new accounts manually - best sim?

Hi, so in my journey to an Instagram master, I want to set up all my accounts manually, allowing for phone verification on the spot, it seems more secure and is my chosen route.

However, in order to do this, I need to use multiple sim cards to activate.

Question -Do I simply need to pop the sim card in my phone for activation using the number and activate over Wifi, or does it need to be done over the cellular network?

Question 2 - If I need to activate over the cellular network, what's the most cost effective way you have found, because I imagine you would have to top up the sim card? This may be more specific to UK viewers as that's where I'm based.

You can buy used sim cards on ebay, like 25 pieces for 30 Sterling. In most cases you will receive a code via SMS for verification. With many you won't need to load your cards as receiving SMS is free.

So your advising to set up over wifi and then verify? I set up a couple of accounts the other day and i never had any verifcation process, is this normal?

Plus if I dont need to load them then i can just order free sims from our UK networks - Perfect!

jeez you people in the uk have cheap prices man! down here in acanada a SIM is $10 dollars and min Topup on a prepaid is $15... and its only good for 30 days...

Here's a suggestion.. You can buy those cheap pre-paid US phones on ebay - they work on IG and the cost of changing your number is $0.

I ordered, loads from 3 and they turned up, about 8 of them. They register fine and can receive text. However, I have never once gotten a text from Instagram. How is it verifying my account?
