Hello dear BlackHatters. I am on the forum for almost an year already and I have read a lot of information that has proven to be really essential.


A month ago I was searching for a way to generate some money besides my other business and i decided to try Fiverr after reading about it. My profile dates back from January but I started any work a month ago. For 30 days I became a level 1 seller and now i'm on 70% for the Level 2 badge and i wanted to share my success with other and give my tips as well as receive some if possible.


As you can see this month - the second since I started I have generated about 85$ + 60 more coming after I finish my work. 26 orders created for the whole time working. I have 17 positive reviews and one bad [Surely not my fault]. I have 7 gigs.

1. Find a gig that you can deliver in less than 30 minutes.
2. Make a nice title for your gig that will give information about it like - I will create YOU a High Quality video for 5$
3. Respond to your messages right away - this is essential. Use your phone for it.
4. Try exchanging a couple of reviews to start.
5. Be polite with everybody who messages you even if they don't deserve
6. Try to tell them that they buy something for the price of a single cup of coffee and they receive valuable product.
7. When creating the gig description think of it as you are trying to sell your laptop. Tell what you offer. How valuable it is. How awesome it is. The high quality they will receive and on and on.
8. Try not to do any spelling mistakes, because people want to have a good communication with their seller.
9. Give promotions to people who message you - For ex. Create the customer a video - add 80 words description for their business that is catchy.
10. Persuade buyer to give you 5 star feedback
11. Always give 100% Refund - 10$ ain't worth a negative feedback
12. Use correct tags for every gig.
13. Try to deliver fast
14. If you don't get sales then change the description if it doesn't work change your gigs
15. Adjust from clients comments and improve
16. Don't copy - use duplichecker for copied content - it's free Create a couple of samples that are really great. Spend few hours on them. Make 2 completely different samples with your style implemented in it. If somebody asks for it - send them. But don't do other samples for FREE they can be using you.
17. Don't trust - Do these 1 200 words for FREE and more work is coming, when you charge 5$ per 350 words <—— Complete fraud.
18. Don't fight with Fiverr's customers support. Really there's no use.

i can agree with most points if not all, actually the quoted one is a good piece of advice too what i don't take anymore lol

after 5,5 years being a seller there (basically from the beginning). i get bored of answering every stupid question, i only answer to questions which can lead to a sale, my gigs are push button gigs, so i don't spend more than a 1-2 minutes per order even if i need to answer a few questions
my avg response time is still 1 hr after 5,5 years, that's pretty good i guess, but sometimes my response rate for the month is close to zero percent (if i get only stupid questions), not sure if it has any effect on gig ranking, but honestly i don't even care, if the gig descriptions are clear, there's no need to ask stupid questions or if the buyer still feels the need to do so, natural selection will take over i guess

Guys. I have heard it is better to have a US based fiverr account for more sales. How true is this?

And if you go this route, how to manage the payment? Wouldn't getting payment in a non us paypal account get your account banned?

It will be good if you are from the philipines, india, asia, pakistan, iraq, iran and countries like that because people search for US and UK sellers most of the time. I have lost a couple of orders because I am not a US and UK native but I try to send messages with proper grammar and without mistakes and people like that and choose me over others.

I guess its probably to do with the fact that buyers trust US sellers more.. Or maybe US based sellers get more exposure.

Nice points. Fiverr is a great place - especially for anyone that is starting out and wants an easy way to earn some money online. Can be very profitable as well if you find something that doesnt take long to do, also great if you can up sell on your gigs.

In your gig descriptions and when talking to clients use "we" instead of "I". Makes those who are finding you from your outside promotion that aren't familiar with Fiverr feel a bit more comfortable with pulling out their credit card

Writing works well for me. Just do low amount of words per gig and also instruct people to contact you first then you can try and up sell where possible.
