How to Rank - A Quick Guide for Newbies

HI, thanks for nice sharing!
have a few websites stuck on page 3 and 4 for long,
although shooting them some PBN, still no progress...

what u suggest on this situation? thanks alot

I need your suggestion on this :

My competitors fall between Easy and relatively Easy, they are some 2 year to 9 months old mostly. On-page is below par.

What im going to do : create 10 web 2.0s with 5 page each. i will use google translate method to generate content for Web 2.0s or the one karan76 shared. is it Ok ?

within 2 months : 400 articles, 1500 backlinks (mostly high pr comments)

questions: when i comment should i change my ip everytime? When i login to web2.0 for the second time should i change my vpn to the same country using which i created that web2.0s ? How many link from linking website should be sent to my website? Any free link indexing service which is effective? do-follow ratio ? should all web2.0s be making sense ?

more questions coming........

Depends on competition honestly.

I would bet your PBN links are not that powerful as well.

I am talking generalizations, but I need to without doing an examination of your entire backlink profile and site...

1. Most likely anchor text ratios are off.
2. You may have some real crap links in your profile.
3. Your competition is high.
4. Google limbo until google can figure out your ranking.

In cases where I am asked what to do in your situation, I usually tell people to add some diversity in anchor text via 2.0s and wait it out. 'Stuck' usually means you will make a big push forward if you do not mess it up by spamming your site. So, be patient and wait to see if it pop's back up after some branded 2.0s are added to just keep low and safe velocity while you are waiting. Google will modify your serps eventually, but for some KWs it tends to stick for a while. The last thing you want to do is keep wasting resources not knowing what will happen or even worse, stop building any links.

Now, if you stop adding links and it goes down, something else it up. But I would assume you will move up with a little patience.

Question one to the translation of articles:

I have not used them enough to be an expert. From what I have used and hear from others I trust, it would be considered a fresh and unique piece of content, so it is safe. I would be cautious and spin it a bit, but it should work perfectly.

Question two about 400 and 1500, I am assuming these are your tier two? If so, that would be fine. 1900 backlinks in tier two is a decent amount of links pointing at 10 Web 2.0s. I would shoot for a higher number myself over 60 - 90 days.

If commenting yourself you can rotate IP if you want. But unless you are posting on the same site every time it is not required. The only issue with manual posting of comments is the number of google searches to find it all which could get your IP in trouble with google. Use Scrapebox or GSA to find blogs to post to or comment on and you will be fine even using the programs public proxies.

As far as logging into your web 2.0, I do not find a substantial difference and NEVER had a web 2.0 for more than one person logging on.

I prefer one link per 2.0. I do include deeper links on the pumper site to link back to the main page of the 2.0 where my money site link is at to retain all of the link juice.

For free indexers I always suggest using GSA indexer as a 3rd or 4th tier first, or build another tier of spam to encourage indexing. I also will use a ping service for my links when I was first starting out. It really is a wash. Even for spam links, google will eventually find them. Only some links typically do not get indexed (Like profiles) so I just avoid building those unless I plan to force them to index.

For tier one, assuming you are doing the additional link building for diversity, mostly do - follow. A few no - follow will not hurt you and will make things look more natural.

All web 2.0s should make some sense. For very easy KWs the 2.0 should rank and will bring you traffic.

Exact match for EASY KWs. If you have harder KWs and will need PBN links, go with Branded or Hyperlink.

It is all about keeping anchor percentages in check. If you have an easy KW, go ahead and use exact match with Web 2.0 so you can rank better. If you know going in the KW is more difficult and will require many 2.0s or PBN links, mix it up.

for a medium comp keyword, would be ok to do 30% main kw, 50% lsi kws, 20% brand ?

Assuming you have other links to lower anchor text, yes, that looks good.

Nice guide man!! Perfect for newbies!! Hope you get some advanced guides as well! :)

Really appreciate ur detailed reply! thanks a lot!

For ur 4 points suggestion, I tend to agree with ur point 3 that I chose a high competition niche.

Actually, i am going to try 301 redirect and profile links spam, after reading ur tutorial. what u think?

I already built up around 15 web2 accounts with afew articles in each, so from my understanding, I am supposed to add more links to these web2, right?

I already successfully ranked one website with the same linking strategy, but not work with these high competition websites,
for another, I found these websites might not convert well, although most kws ranked page 2,3,4, not sure if they are worth of my time and effort to push them onto page 1??

So, I prefer a quick way to push them onto page 1 to see how well they convert into sales, then I know if I pick a good niche....

Honestly, i think it really depends on lucky sometimes, even if I pick and rank some commercial intended kws, but they are not converted well....

Thanks again, mate:)

Do you turn expired domains into money sites? Or just buy them and use them for PBN purposes?

If you have only used PBN links so far, you without a doubt need to diversify a bit. Build a few more web 2.0s and add links to all of them. Not sure how your anchor percentages look but I would assume you would be high in exact match due to using PBNs.

I would stay away from Shorteners right now. They can be unstable if you are on the verge of ranking in my testing. Profile links can be a good way to dilute anchor text and send your link some power, so that is not much of a concern.

If you need some specific help, send me your SEO plan you have used on the site, the KW %'s, number of each type of link, how many of each link you built and when plus a general idea of competition. I do not need the niche, KWs, website or anything like that for your safety. I can give something a bit more specific if I see what you did.

EDIT:

@ Project:

I have done both.

I prefer a registered domain with age, but if I can't I would rather use an expired domain with some good links over a fresh domain with none. It makes SEO easier, so I use it.

First of all, thanks for the good SEO Tutorial.
I have a few questions. I am still new to SEO stuff.

1. Can you suggest a good text spinner ? (Free ones out there ? )
2. What exactly are URL Shortener, How to build them and use them effectively ? I know URL Shortener like tinyurl, ... but I think it is not the same here.
3. Is it advicable to outsource Web 2.0s to a service here in BHW and also other link building for newbies ? I saw a Web 2.0s service which sounded interesting.
4. What are filters ? What you mean by that ? (Was mostly related to GSA I guess)
5. How to track my keywords without spending too much money on it ? I know that there are Keyword Analyzing Tools, but they are very pricey for the beginning.
6. What exactly is the difference between "Private Blog Network" and "Public Blog Network ? How they differ from our Web 2.0s network ???
7. Anybody has a good guide for On-Page Optimization ? (like a pdf or something)

Thanks for your efforts. Hope you can answer some of these questions.

I will answer these the best my sleep deprived self can...

1. Best Free Spinner (Can be found with a simple Google search) is one of the few spinners I have used which are free and work moderately well.

It works for our purposes. I suggest a manual edit so it is unique, a spin, and then an edit to fix errors. This gives you a complete unique piece of content.

2. You are on the money, like Tiny Url. This is an old and black hat technique which works and adds a lot of power to a link as a tier two buffer. I add them after I have some diversity to shock my rankings up and it works swimmingly.

3. This is a gray area. Just because I find a service that works for the need I have does not mean it will work for you. I have used a lot of services on BHW and elsewhere and very few stand out as amazing. A lot has to do with budget. When I outsource I am looking for a specific type of link and never expect it to rank for me, it is a piece of the puzzle.

I can say 7th Amigo has a decent value on Web 2.0s (Under $1 a piece), Rankspire has some of the better Web 2.0s I have used and over all good work, and I could give a wide variety of useful providers for different specific tasks. I would always suggest you LEARN TO DO IT YOURSELF first. Learn to rank first. Learn how to build the links first. Once you figure out what goes into it all, you can figure out what quality would cost and if it is possible for the links to be done how the seller claims.

For some links you can't tell if a machine made it or a person. But if I am paying for 'Man Made' links, I expect that. You can get a good idea of what man made is if you actually do it yourself first.

4. Filters specifically reference settings in GSA.

5. SERPlab. They provide 300 free searches a day, or so I recall. I still use them to this day (I pay for quite a few additional searches) because I like the layout, it is inexpensive compared to the competition, and has useful filters I enjoy.

6. Private means you own it, no one else can post to it. Public means someone is selling lists to multiple SEO's so it is far higher risk and far less powerful.

A Web 2.0 is a free blog account or post. Where a PBN is on a website you make with a domain specifically to link out from.

PBN essentially has a LOT of power already built in, where as with a Web 2.0 you need to build it. I can go over the differences, but basically PBN normally is a power link, where as a Web 2.0 can become powerful and also adds authority / trust. 2.0s are less expensive and easier to set up, so that is why you start with 2.0s first.

7. Put a gun to my head and I *Think* the best guide was by phpbuilt. Start with his On Page guides and Authority Site guides to learn the scope of on page. For site structure, Basstrackerboats has a Silo site thread floating around which is worth the read.

I think that covers it, but most likely will give you more questions now.

Can use of affiliate links(whether anchor or naked etc) inside articles may affect the seo potential of the page/site ?
If i try to build my own web 2.0's,what will be the best strategy in managing emails and proxies for better chances ?
Thanks

@ Hat Arrows:

Outbound links can leak link juice, but unless you are leaking out at every page, the link juice lost is not super substantial. Linking out is natural so doing it sometimes is a good idea.

Best chances?

Create an Excel file with the following sections: Proxie, Email, User Name, Password.

First section should be proxie, list all the proxies you have. Per proxies list a single fresh email account you would use.

Once you register it list your log in details in the Name and Password Rows.

This help prevent you from using the same email / Proxie twice and keeps everything in one place. Plus, it is easier to go over later.

When I build a new WEB 2.0, if I let it age without any tier 2 most of them will stay deindexed. What you do? Submit them to an indexer?

I do build links to my Web 2.0s, that is the point of this all. I build Web 2.0s first and let them age a bit before I build back links. This helps them stick around longer. I am playing a long term game, not a Churn and Burn or Parasite building when I build my web 2.0s. I build them, make sure the Admin does not remove my 2.0, then add links. If I build links day one, it can look like spam and has a higher chance of being taken down.

A Pumper with 500 contextual links, and a few thousand tier two will get indexed. Not right away, but it will.
