Hello I have been browsing this forum for a very long time but for some reason i cannot find anything on using scrapebox scraped emails and blasting them? For example craiglist emails, I have tried net tools 5 mass e mailer but I have no idea how to setup a smtp server or how to ensure how to blast emails withoutout getting in trouble

Best to avoid talk of CL. We don't discuss that stuff around here really. There is plenty of information about setting up mailing systems scattered throughout the board. Not sure what people are using for their various setups these days, but I'm confident you can find it here or at Big G with the "site:blackhatworld.com" qualifier. A lot of people were using interspire some time ago ... many others developed their own mechanisms for mass mailing using existing websites and/or networks.

It's all spam in the end, so you run whatever risks you are comfortable running. Simply put - you cannot send unsolicited email to people trying to sell them things legally. Does that stop people from doing it? Of course not, but it requires a level of diligence and an understanding that if caught you may incur financial penalties that effectively render you penniless. This is true of all email addresses that were not acquired by you unless the person who joined a list explicitly stated it IS OK for their address to be shared with partners of the location the email address was acquired. Certainly if you acquired the addresses by scraping CL - you are asking the question "How can I legally spam these leads?" There is NO answer for that. However, you can take whatever risks you are comfortable taking in your businesses.

You can find the information you need. Good luck!

Their are providers of smtp servers hear on BHW, look in peoples signatures and you may find a few.

Really? That's new to me... So just in general? Say I scrape 100k emails and then send them a sales offer only once per month, that's illegal? or is it only illegal if say, I overdo it, and send them 50 emails per day?

I'd give you a thanks if I could, but I'm all out after discovering that CEOSam thread

Strictly forbidden to send someone an offer without their approval of you using their email before.

Damn. Well good to know. I just recently set up my first squeeze page... I guess I'll just be sticking with that method then. Just started out with email marketing and building a list... Haven't scraped any random emails emails yet, but I have thought about doing it. I had no idea. I'll take note not to ever do that. Thanks for the heads up.

Being forbidden doesn't mean you can't technically do it. It's just that you expose yourself to legal issues. Read the CAN-SPAM act.
