Not too much on Independence Day, but on the Ganesh Chaturthi (Google), and during Diwali (Google) festivals, they can lift you out of your bed in the early mornings, i.e. as early as 4 am, if you're not prepared to be assaulted by them even in your dreams! The evenings will see the heavens shining and lightening up all over the places with countless sparkles and colors!
The sounds of crackers on the earth will be quite deafening!Crackers, fireworks, colored lighting, lanterns, ... you can see all the Indian towns' and cities' skylines lighted with all of them! New and colorful dresses, traditional wears and traditional jewellery will be out to impress one and all, rangoli (Google) designs in front of every house will awe you, home-made sweets of all kinds will be eaten up to be offered more in platefuls, sparkling jewellery and everything that can sparkle, eyes and faces especially in real joy will greet you everywhere. You can really touch and feel the happiness in the air!
Every festival is a very special meeting time for all the religions in India! It must be seen to be believed...
Visit India on such occasions and see the really happy India enjoying despite all its difficulties!
