SSL for blackhat niche sites ?

Hello just want to ask if someone has experienced buying SSL for their blackhat niche website ? I heard it does help to hide the IP of the server ? I was using cloudflare but there are cloudflare resolvers out there ? What is the downside of using SSL on blackhat website ?

SSL is nothing but a additional layer.. it wont change your ip or hide it. i am not sure what ru referring exactly

Not SSL but VPN (Virtual Private Network) is used to hide ip.
