How to get twitter exposure? Need help, will thank and rep.

I have a twitter account with about 8800 followers, most of them are fake and I bought them awhile ago just to make my account look good. I tweet hashtags but very rarely get exposure of any kind. Just having a hard time getting any exposure or benefits from twitter. Any suggestions how I can start getting seen?

8800 followers are very less and you too say that they are mostly fake.
Better to target your specific niche. and Follow, RT, FAV and reply users and see the results.

Take a look at Wizard thread I assume he has 0.4 mln followers in total & he receives around 2k-3k visits a day.

P.s.. He manages a lot of accounts.

Tweeting hashtags won't do almost anything. Also buying twitter followers is only good for one reason, when you have 8000 followers you can follow ~9000 people.
I'll show you how to grow it fast:
1. Pick a popular niche (Cute animal pictures, Tattoos, whatever)
2. Go to a popular account in that niche, and use imacros to follow 900 people.
3. Post a couple pictures/tweets a day, steal them from other accounts probably
4. Repeat step 2 for 10 days, then unfollow all of them 1000-2000 people a day.

In a month you'll have a lot of real followers, and you'll be able to grow just from other people. You could also get banned, but twitters pretty damn lenient, I've unfollowed 3300 people in a single day and not got banned

Try a bot like FollowLiker. Use that to follow active people who are following the other popular accounts in your niche.

Ideally try to follow the people who interact with their posts.
