To be honest, I don't have a good experience with Indians both on business and social levels. However, I am not racist and I fail to understand why is everyone insisting so much on the fact that he is Indian? Who gives a shit about where he is from? It wasn't his nationality that got him CEO of Google, it was his skills and hard work.

It doesn't matter from where he is, as long as he is good at what he does.
He may be a very good guy who has worked hard to achieve there.

Yeah, how does it even helps india ? He will shift there, his kids will be American. I don't understand why Indians are dancing ?
Basically we indians are habituated taking pride anything associated with india.

He is certainly one among select few among Indians occupying the highest post in multi national companies...

Isn't India still not at terms at how far it has come in the last 25 years, and that is the reason their is such pride in really simple things? In another 15-20 years no one from India is really going to care about someone from India being made into the CEO of a large Multi-national firm since it will be so common. 65% of Indians are under the age of 35, so its a pretty young society.

I'm not sure why they do it in India, but the black community does something similar in the United States of America, although their reason stems from oppression and slavery and seeing "their people" rise up in the ranks when that wasn't possible many years ago.
