Alternative to iWriter?

Hello guys! I've been a member here for quite some time now but as you can see I'm not very talkative. However, I thought this would be the best place to learn about some new writing websites where I can make a few extra bucks.

I've been meddling with iWriter for a while now but honestly, I'm somewhat disappointed. The website definitely favours the buyers, after all, money talks. The fact that they can turn down an article point blank and hit you with a low review is very detrimental for someone wanting to climb their built-in ladder system. Also, very few clients give specific details on what they want written. Anyhow, I'm not complaining, I still have a decent rating there, but I would love to find some alternatives to this website. I should mention that I tried Fiverr too, but to no avail, as the gigs I made there didn't get much exposure. Also, the Fiverr rates are really low, as there are people that are willing to write four articles of 500 words for a mere 4$ (I can just imagine the quality of their content).

Anyhow, does anyone know about some good alternatives to iWriter for someone that isn't a native speaker? The articles I found online related to this subject are somewhat outdated. I'm not picky, I'll work for a penny a word just to get some experience.

Hmm, I can suggest a few if your looking for something along the lines of the same structure of a content mill. Are you wanting something in the mean time while you try to find your own clients that pay more?

If you know of any websites similar to iWriter I would be very grateful if you could share them with me. It would be lovely to write for specific clients, but for the moment I'm happy to do whatever work I can find.

As for Textbroker, as far as I can tell from their FAQ section they only accept native speakers, so only US, UK, Australia and New Zeeland writers can work there.
 
You should try Textbroker then, they are little expensive but always deliver good quality stuffs.
 
Why don't you start your own website, do keyword research, learn seo, all these things... how long will you be dependent on others?

From your language i can see that you can write so well , i think you are at the best position than others here as people here are crazy about content specially high quality ones, i feel that you can do it.

Thanks for the suggestion! I played around a bit with websites and SEO, and I even tried to make my own website. However, due to lack of time, I had to abandon that project and focus on my studies. I'm looking for writing gigs at the moment to build up a bit of income and slowly build towards my own website. I've always loved writing and I think it is a really good creative outlet for me, as well as it's giving me something to do during the summer.
 
I suggest you try SEOClerks. This is a great site, much better than fiverr.
 
If you choose to go with seoclerks, be ready to first buy a bunch of reviews. I've had dirt cheap gigs up there for ages, but no sales. I'm not desperate, so I won't buy any reviews.

Better go with fiverr. Start by low and build up. Open a gig "I will write 4 x 500 word articles for $5". Then after you have 2-3 reviews, change the gig to 2 x 500 word articles and then to 1 x 500 words. I have successfully changed my gig from 1,000 words for $5 down to 300 words for $5 and selling a few gigs every day.
 
I'm looking for writers who can make five to ten 400-word articles per day (5 times per week) for 1 cent (USD) per word. I don't expect journalistic quality or hours of research per article. I'm just looking for articles written in good English with no grammatical errors. PM me if you are interested.
 
Saw someone retweet about this on Twitter earlier, might be an alternative to iwriter for you: sitecontent.ninja
 
Drumming up business writing is generally pretty easy if you can actually write decent content. Unless you have no means with which to directly receive payments, I'd definitely cut out the middle man altogether and simply sell your own services as a writer rather than go through something like iWriter. Freelancing is fine, and you do have to pay whatever fees might apply there, but I've never had any challenges making money in the moment even just writing for people right here on BHW.

It just comes down to presentation, and having some body of work to show people.
 
How about you send me some of your samples OP? For fact, you should start out with textbroker, as well as BHW. You should get started somewhere.
