What is the best SEO Optimized / Friendly theme for WordPress?

Well, firstly it depends on your niche. That is what kind of theme you want e.g: Magazine, Gallery or else?
If you are working with Magazine Website Niche then, I suggest to use Sahifa as I have tested it on my own websites. Afterwards you can give a try to Alterna Theme as this is highly Responsive and full of features!
Both themes will surely give you more power on your organic traffic and social too.

Sahifa is horrible for kick-off SEO purposes. By "kick-off" I mean, the technical issues the theme has once it's installed on a brand new site.

What ShorTCircuiTGirL said - "full of features" - is the exact opposite you should be looking for. When a theme is "full of features", it's generally heavy in code, js, css and a crap load of resource heavy plugins. You want something that's well structured (meta tags, h1 tags, js in footer, centralized css sheet etc) in terms of how the theme works. Not something that has a lot of features. It should be as basic as possible.

Look up Schema (wordpress theme). I haven't personally used it, but it seems to be a vouched for theme when it comes to out-of-the-box optimized for SEO.
