Someone is goin' all out with botting

Just sharing something interesting to the community here.

A botter is balls to the walls repinning the pins from one of my boards. It's a small, not very active board. Yet, the latest 50 pins have been receiving 90+ or so repins within the last 3 days or so. When I click on a pin's repin page on the upper left, I only see 4-6 repinners which is about right. The other 80+ repinners? Don't know. Perhaps the algo caught them and is ghosting.

I can't figure out the botter's end game in using this method. But it feels like someone's going out with a bang.

Just an update, it seems that the botter is changing links on the images to his money site and I only see one. Some accounts got through and remain live. The website is also reachable via clickthrus. I'm unsure of how his pins are reaching audiences since the handful I checked have 0 followers. His accounts must number from high hundreds to thousands in order to pull this off while hoping that the smart algo somehow shows the pins in someone's feed.

Maybe it's a competitor who has your stuff up on something like addmefast trying to get YOU banned? that could be why all the empty accounts repinning the info.. peoples throw-away accounts.

Maybe. But I'm not in that niche. It's just a board I made for future expansion. And it's one of my dummy accounts, not main. I'm thinking more along the lines of someone who's either just testing out what he could get away with in Pinterest OR someone who's all fed up and decided to go all balls til completely obliterated. The footprint is just too big to be ignored.
