Hello BHW,


As usual I was doing some research today and came across a blog of a newbie Money Maker and his Money Making Methods. He is 12 years old and is starting his journey now.


As soon as I read the above mentioned info about his age and his first journey, It reminded me about myself when I was 12 years old and I had started in the world of IM. This thought/flashback about my past put a smile on my face and made me realize how far I have come from that 12 Year old noob to somebody now with knowledge.


I still cannot forget that day when I first started as an IM, I was a nerd and used to read many post/ebooks/pdfs about IM. My first income from IM came when I started my translation service and I had 2 clients who took my service for there website. That day was one of the most happiest day in my life and can never be replaced with anything.


So my question to you all..


1) Do you still remember your first day you set foot in the world of IM?


2) What was your age when you started IM?


3) What was your first source of income from IM? (Just the source is enough, if you don't wanna share your exact method)


4) Based on 1-10, how much do you think you have evolved from that first day till now? (My stat: 3, IM is vast and I have a long way to go)


5) After reading this, how many of you got the flashback of your first day in IM world? (Just write 'Me')


6) Last but not the least, did this memory put a smile on your face?

I didn't say that I followed him anywhere in the thread. I was only pointing out the age and his effort of trying out in IM. xP

Well, 9/11 is something that no one forget his entire life. But this thread was about you, me and all other who have come so far in the IM world and are learning and evolving every day of their life. No doubt, people around here don't read the whole thread lol..xD

I don't do IM. 99% of the people here claiming to be IMers are broke and living with their parents and beg for money. It does nothing to inspire me to follow their footsteps. I do just fine freelancing. At least with freelancing I'm not gaming a search engine who is constantly trying to stop what I'm doing. My biggest issues are lowballers and managing customer expectations. I give you that I'd rather deal with 1s and 0s than people, but I also don't care about Panda and Penguin and other things, so I would say we're even.

I would also say that some of my success is because I didn't listen to those "make money online" schmoes writing BS on something they know nothing about.

I would have to agree with you on the 'broke and living with parents part'. There are many in that category..xP

Even I earned my first income doing freelancing job for 2 guys (website owners). Yes, that's a freedom in freelancing, we don't have to manipulate any search engine to earn.

Well, I wouldn't say I don't listen to those methods/techniques but I kinda take some techniques and mix them with my own idea and form a new one. Sometimes, I do make good cash but other times I just sit empty pocket..xP

I started at 16/17 and did PPD

Did read all day long what to do, and finally took action and was making 0.1 or something for few days, and i said, fuck it, it dont work if i dont make some nice money next day ill quite as it dont work
Then next day came July 16 or something, and i made $1.62 and was WOW I CAN MAKE IT WORK and then it all started.

Damn nostalgia haha

They banned my account when I stopped using it for a while.. I even contacted support and got no response; good thing I didn't give a shit .

Somehow I created a fake credit card number, used it in facebook ads to promote clickbank offer directly. I made 2 sales and after that, my account was blocked. That was some good feeling. I made another three sales by doing tweeter replies and got the money directly into my bank! I used 1/4 of the money to buy good internet connection, to upgrade windows and to buy an antivirus programme

Dude you reminded of my days again! I was a poor guy then..used to earn some pocket money doing house works of my neighbors..

My internet connection was bad too as good internet connections required good amount which I didn't have at that time to spend on internet..xP

So I used to hack my friends WIFI connection, he was/is rich but with no IT knowledge at all...he was using normal WEP security so It wasn't that hard for me..
