U.K tax advice

Im on my second 'tax advisor' this year and they both seem to be useless, the one im with now promised the earth re tax savings and hasnt saved me a penny as far as I can tell, the only thing he has done in 8 months is set me up a limited liability partnership.

Does anyone know of a good tax advisor in the U.K or what steps I should be making to save tax? I can make the money ok but when it comes to this stuff im totally clueless.

Your best bet is to get in touch with an local accountant, many of them have tax specialists or can advise you on the basics.

Don't take the chance with so called "tax advisers", make sure you stay in the tax avoidance catergory and don't stray into tax evasion unless you want some jail time.

I use a system which I'm a directory of a ltd company and then invoice the company my consultancy charges and run it via a employee benefit trust hxxp://employeebenefittrust.co[dot]uk

You only end up paying about 14% tax on whatever you earn plus they take care of NI as well.
