How do you SEO misspelled keywords? Like if I want to SEO "blackhat" but want to show up PR #1 for "blckhat" and "balckhat" etc how would you do it? Also can you SEO any company name right? As long as you don't bid on it? Thanks!:rain: O one more thing that's been bothering me. Can I make domain with a company name? Like if I'm promoting uhhh newegg.com can I put bestneweggshit.com? :D:D

but usually the search engines recommend the correct spelled word when the person searches for a misspelled word, although some people don't care or see it and look at the result anyways, and i guess to optimize a site for any company name is ok as long as you don't use it in adwords to bid on it or maybe advertise their product.

With mispellings it's true Google does usually recommend the correct spelling. I dont know what percentage of people correct their spelling but I imagine it's at least 50%.

Nevertheless, if you have a keyword that's pulling you in money then it can be worth optimising for it.

I usually build a list of all the possible mispellings for a keyword and put them all into an adwords campaign. Then I'll find the top few that are being mispelled the most.

You never want to have spellings in your own text as this could reflect badly on you so instead I usually put a customer review or comment with the mispellings. That way I can still retain a professional yet natural feel to the website while optimising for the keyword. After that just build a few links with the mispelling as the anchor text and you shouldn't have any trouble ranking.

nice thinking! I've wondered how to go about that without looking like a lousy webmaster or worse I can't even spell the word...
