Is It Necessary to Validate/ Confirm Paypal Phone Number?

I added a tracfone number to paypal, however the phone can't receive the text message necessary to validate the number.
But the number is still on the account. Is that sufficient or r there problems that occur if you don't confirm your paypal phone number (ex. ebay selling limits)?

I know you have to confirm on ebay.

I know you have to confirm on ebay.

There are certain tracfone models that can not get text mail from eBay. Use a different model

Assuming this means it is necessary I've heard positive things about samsung models so Ill try one. I don't see a way to remove a number from paypal? So when I add and confirm a second number will that be strange?

You can transfer tracfone #'s from one tracfone to another.

it's best to do so and have your account at 100% complete...but not being able to receive text will be a problem because later down the road, they will ask to verify you again with those text when withdrawing money.

I never had problems with LG models with keypads.

Can you receive text messages from other numbers? If not you might consider contacting the phone company to troubleshoot in case it is an issue with the number itself or something. I know it is pain but it is worth the effort of confirming the number. It will help make things easier in the future if you ever run into any problems with PP.
