Cortana looks nice but you have to give Microsoft permission to track you if you want to use it.

They skipped it, because they know every second release they make is horrible.
Though it doesn't really add up; XP, Vista, Win7, Win8, Win9, Win10

I've been using windows 10 for months now and love it.
Word of advice though, software that is incompatible with .net 4.6 will not work. For example wikiposter by innosoft. That only works with .net 4.5.2 and base version of .net on windows 10 is 4.6 and there's no way to downgrade

Windows vista,8 and windows 10 are all good.
If it does not do that stupid seriously irritating thing that Windows 8 does. When every other time you touch your mouse pad it fucking changes to the pointless shitty windows 8 screen, then yes I will be changing.
Only just worked out the other week that clicking the top left of the screen brings it back to the normal screen you was on, before it just decided to change it for you, for no good reason. The amount of time I have nearly drop kicked my laptop over this pointless shit.

Windows has never had a bad version, every new version is better than the last one.

OP dont upgrade unless you want to be spied on, cortana will be giving all your info back to Microsoft

You can disable cortana by agreeing to not have info sent back.

Got a message from a friend on Skype this morning warning me to be careful about upgrading from 8.1 to 10. Apparently during his upgrade something went wrong and the installation broke causing him to have to reformat the drive. I'm not sure if its a "bug" with the release or what happened, just make sure you make backups of everything important.
I think I'm going to hold off a little bit to make sure they iron out any release bugs before I jump on board. Looks like it might end up being a pretty nice OS though.

SORTA agree. While it may seem specific to Windows 10 or some bug, this can happen when changing ANY OS, whether It's upgrading or downgrading.
Plus, there is that human error thing. Then there's hardware failures/glitches...

Ya never upgrade, always do a clean install.
Same with upgrading Windows 7 -> Windows 8. You'll eventually hit some random bug caused by the upgrade instead of a clean install.

Im in the same boat. I love my windows 7 and think il hang off till i get a shot of it on someone elses pc first. It does look really good though
