One of our sites has suddenly lost all impressions in Google's SEO queries section. I thought it might because of an issue with the API that is required to see this information, but I've also noticed significantly lower Google traffic.

However, when I checked the rankings for the site's keywords, everything is normal. Any ideas on what's going? Any input will be appreciated.

I am not sure, but maybe the new Panda roll out has started it's effects..

If that is the case then you can't do much now...will have to wait to confirm...

Hope this helps!

Regards,

It would make sense if the impressions dropped, but it's 0. It's hard to believe. I'll probably try contacting them today.

It is possible you are being hit with Panda 4.2 which was released July 18th however only a small percentage of search queries are currently being affected. It is also possible you've been penalized.

May be your keywords are seasonal and simply there isn't a lot of traffic during summer.

I don't think its Panda. Panda doesn't make you go to 0 impressions, only thing that can do that is being de-indexed from the search. Give it a week or so and see whether it changes or not.

Done some further research and apparently it happens quite often. It's merely data delay. Will see what happens this week.

were you checking impressions in google analytics

Have you heard about Panda?
your site got hit with Panda mate :)

There is no reason for it to get hit. Like I said, it is just a delay. It can't show 0 impressions when the site clearly receives impressions.

yeah there is a delay of 2 days, i agreee with OP. Why everyone is just singing the panda songs these days #smh

Do check after couple of days, you'll get the result.
Same happened with me on Friday :) There is a massive difference from then and now.

You're saying you got hit? I doubt the site I'm referring to did because it's small-sized website ranking for a few keywords for which it is ranking naturally. That's why I was surprised in the first place.

My PR 4 site got hit and the size of site doesn't matter though :)

Affirming that is was just a data delay. To anyone not yet using Google queries, I highly recommend it. It shows your impressions for keywords that you might not have added to your keyword list. It's a good tool for new exploration.

what is the current status?
Does your site recovered from the data delay? Are you getting the impressions like before.
Just curious to know!

I've just checked for you and there is still a 2-day data delay. I think it's always like that, but I just didn't notice it. Impressions are slightly better than before.

yea some sites are starting to see the effects now. With good content you should be fine, but low quality spam sites are being clobbered again!
