There's such a vast majority of users on here so I often wonder what you guys do for a living. I mean, obviously there are people that do IM full time and are hugely successful, but what about if you're only doing IM on top of another job? Personally, I'm a student and plan to go into some area of computing, possibly programming.

i am working on project on upwork, that is what i do for living. And i love my job no 9 till 5 etc.

Im working in a factory which produces parts for BMW. Currently making no money with IM :(

9-5 I am an auto broker, and in between I am an IM entrepreneur :)

I'm a nurse, but with the low pay salary on where I live.. making some money in IM helps for extra income.

I'm a local truck driver and currently average about $230 per week online but it used to be more, mostly autopilot.

My job is to delegate everything to someone else, and then trust them and don't micromanage them. Then look for mistakes and point them out nicely, so they can solve them. And own it.

I'm an Air Conditioning technician when I'm working. It's a pretty good gig and I specialize in the more technical side of the trade. I do a lot of work on automated systems in clubs and malls, places like that. Fortunately for me the money is great for these types of jobs in Australia, but I'm doubtful that I'll ever be able to support my lifestyle using IM. But I'll keep trying!

So... for some contrast - I'm doubtful that I could ever support my lifestyle being an air conditioning technician, and I'm not even gonna try!
I'm the guy that sells leads to your company that keeps you busy working. And I'm 'using IM'.

Perspective is such a wonderful thing :)

You are completely right. I wasn't trying to put down people earning money in IM, I know there are probably many people earning what I'd earn in a month within a week. I guess my perspective comes more from the side that I spent 4 years of my life gaining qualification to do that job and a few more years building a name for myself to be able to do the better jobs, where as I don't know anywhere near enough about IM to make a living from it.
But I decided to take the year off work and go travelling around a bit of the world, I'm about to head home and put a few months into IM and a few of my hobby projects. So maybe I'll prove myself wrong.

Best thing you could ever do :)

If I'd stayed in Australia, there's not a chance in hell that I would have the business and lifestyle I have today... leaving ones comfort zone is the first step of a thousand-mile journey.

I can't say it was high on my to-do list but my girlfriend kept nagging me, so I went ahead. It's been a real eye opener doing Canada, USA and living down in Mexico for a couple of months. Although I am looking forward to getting back home, having a meat pie, drinking an Aussie beer and working on my project cars. I've loved every second of the travelling and I found BHW along the way, so hopefully with some hard work it might open up a few doors for me in the future.
